What would you do? Drywall or Plywood? I love the look of the wood finish, but that drywall came out great! Hope you all had a safe Halloween.. November is a fun one! We're focusing on knowledge this month, so stay tuned and learn a thing or two as we go over stairs, layout, and the basics!
Matt, I can't say enough about how helpful your vids are. I'm about to do a 400sf addition on my own house here in Santa Cruz, and after watching your work I've decided to do the framing myself. I'm not a novice, but its been a minute or two and your vids have helped knock the rust off. I worked on a construction crew about 25 years ago when I was in school, I spent summers building decks before that, and I worked in a cabinet shop for a while, but it's your vids that have pushed me over the decision point! If you're ever up this way, drop me a note and if the pandemic allows I'll buy you a beer.
This is so cool after watching the whole series. I really enjoy ur channel. Thanks for posting this. Hopefully we could also see the house u guys just finished.
You are one hell of a builder my friend. With that said....I really do love that plywood. Only because it gives me a more organic feel. Frank Lloyd Wright utilized that method with his architecture. Organic materials from stone to wood to cantilever concrete. Either way outstanding work. Keep bangin them beautiful structures brother
The history of drywall is quite interesting, I was kinda curious as to why it became the norm and after a bit of research it wasn't surprising how it became so standard. I'd love to see more builds with something more interesting but of course that simply isn't practically in most applications. That said I'm still trying to figure out what to hang on the interior of our project.. Oh and many thanks to MBW for turning me onto the Makita cordless nailer, GREAT tool!!
Hey Matt can you do a video on how you find angles and how to cut to the right length with angles like on cross braces that have angles on both sides I’m having trouble figuring out cross braces. Thanks love your channel. Keep it up
I would like to own a residential construction company one day. Do think I should become a framer first then eventually learn trim, sheetrock, etc? I am currently an apprentice for a small company but I am barely learning things. I know some basic things but we barely do any framing. Any advise guys?
Hey Matt, I hope you are doing well. I'm currently doing asphalt paving the roads and driveways, potholes stuffs like that here up in Canada. Recently I figured out that paving is not really the thing that i like, but framing houses and home renovations sort of thing is what i really do like, even though I have no knowledge, no experience about all that stuffs. But I am 23 this year, I think it's kind of late to start over. Do you have any advice for me? Thank you very much!
Matt, I haven't watched the whole series yet, but will, and I want to ask what you thought about the drawings? I was the designer (ST on drawn by) at Ten Over that did all the drafting and detailing. Would love to know your thoughts!
I noticed that the ZIP System sheathing for the roof is also being used on the walls. Don't the walls have to "breathe"? Years ago I attended a seminar on Advantech sheathing. The manufacturer's rep stated how well the 7/16" performed in a roof application, but it wasn't used on the exterior walls. Someone asked why it wasn't used on the walls as well, and the rep said, "Because it doesn't breathe". I was just curious about your thoughts on this.
I like the drywall. Btw, how many bottles of wine get made in each of those big silver vats? I'm guessing 10,000 but suspect I might be underestimating...
Drywall looks better to me...They must sell a bunch of wine as that addition looks a bit pricey! I also don't know how you stand on top those (what 16' side walls?) and set trusses, makes me nervous just watching you, I will stick to designing trusses and not setting them lol!
Unfortunately we didn’t go out! We did have a little family get together at the house.. Ms. BangsWood is huge on party planning, so the house was pretty well decked out!
Hello MBW. Long time no see. Is this just a seasonal break or am I overreacting? Noticed no videos in last couple of weeks and know that you bang’m out on a regular basis. Just checking. Hope all is well and looking forward to new content. 👽

For a Grow or industrial purposes, plywood. Also helps with noise. Drywall for residential
Drywall looks better ... if you have reasonably straight walls. Plywood is great for a shop ... to hang stuff.
Wood to match outside less upkeep.
Thanks for taking us back. It was an awesome build. I like the plywood better personally.
That looks freaking amazing!!!! the exposed beam details and tying back into the existing structure to match is awesome!!! You guys are artists!
Way cool to see it nearly complete. Always good when a customer let's you show what your company is capable of doing!

Matt, you have to do a "Where are they now" Playlist. Love to see all the buildings built! Working. Etc!

Plywood on the wall looks fantastic tbh, really suites the building use.
I agree, it really does. Goes with it well!
Plywood looked absolutely lovely it gave it a warm feeling
Spent the last week watching the series and it's awesome what you guys do! Keep up the series of different builds
If you got time please check my channel. Take care
Matt, I think it looks great.... Hats off to you and the crew
This was a great series, thank you for sharing!!!!
drywall looks bright and clean
I like the plywood Matt. Great job!
This build is how I found this channel, great build

A credit to you all ~ well done guys.
Hope you are ok, Matt. Merry Christ to you and beloved family !!!
Loved to new update on the build. Keep up all the Great work
The plywood will definitely take a lot more abuse than the sheet rock will but if you painted it white it will probably look about the same.
that wood looks so good
Can never Beat the wood look
Very impressive and thanks for the your. Great job 👍
Great build for brewery. I would used drywall but create a feature wall in plywood. stay safe J.
Awesome build!
I like the tunes bruh
Plus nice work
I was thinking about this interesting build, how it looked when it is finished. Thank you. By the way I like the dry wall a bit less than the other.

Looks great
The result is good
without a doubt i would do drywall over plywood
Plywood is awesome!!
My personal preference is the plywood compliments the exterior
@mattbangswood. You got to post some videos bro. It's been a few months since last video.

Awesome Matt, thanks for the videos. Plywood for me. Can you share the name of the winery? Cheers from eastern Canada.
I would go for osb and drywall. That’s what i did with my shed in the garden
Plywood man really clean lines
Hi Matt, Would you happen to have a video on framing a door? would really appreciate the help. thanks
You must have 99 construction!
mines 82 i think
Hey matt can you add a clip on your video how to mark plate studs before you frame and stand a wall / marks on the grounds
Bonjour Très beau travail en France c'est différent la charpente .Hello Very nice work in France it's different the frame
Where you been my man? Missing the vids
burned out by working and making vids at the same time
Drywall it looks so much nicer, cleaner and professional

Is that water damage at 2:06?
So is that a roof leak or is that gutter full of junk
That was the old build that they continued on from.

kick ass. plywood is way better. does not show dings and age. always looks great
Which is building houses engineering or construction or are they the Same?
Literally just stumbled on your channel because I am building a shed. Love the content. But I had a question. Are you in AG??
what's the winery/brand of wine that's going to come out of here? should try to get them in on a matt bangs wood flavor/limited edition.

You have to do TheStradmans house

What type of construction do you do?
sheetrock looks better but ply makes hanging anything easier.the best look would be what the outside of the building is on the inside
Wonder why theres water stains up under the eve by the chillers

Where are you located ?
Do the Stradmans house!
where is your new channel ??
Any new video soon?
Would have liked to see either plywood walls or ply ceiling. All-plywood is too much, as is all-drywall. Seems there's a roof leak @2:00?
That little section was where it was exposed since demo. Saw a little rain while it was torn apart and bear sheathing.

that sheeting is made from bears?
Plywood!
