Love it and enojy supporting great practices like this where there is no season pass or none of that junk you have to pay $30 for 5 characters and have 4 passes for like a $160 game (Looking at you namco bandai and arc system works. This is lacking in modes but its a complete arcade experience as it is an arcade port after all with online and fun solo fights so I'm happy. Its a fun game.

I really like the look of this game, and I love 2D fighters in general. Too bad these games often treat the single player mode as an afterthought. Looks like I'll be following your advice and waiting for a sale.

Thanks for the review. I’m a sucker for anime fighters. Would you consider reviewing Mothergunship on Ps4? Might pick it up.

Not a lot of single player content yup unfortunately I can say the same about a lot of fighters nowadays in particular. Arcade mode is to hard to implement it seems. I think this has one though I know the last version of it did although the difficulty spike was pretty bad once you beat a few. I played the arcade version and liked the old school feel where it was a lot of poking and spacing if I remember right a lot of moves felt negative on block so you couldnt keep up pressure well and had to therefore return to neutral which I liked but if you got fatal countered it was combo city. I would get it especially for the price but have way to many fighters atm and not enough time.

i understand the appeal of fighting games but they don't appeal to me anymore (Capcom vs SNK 2 was legendary!)
*dengeki bunko fighting climax* on the ps3 was a fun game for a short time because the cast while very limited consisted of anime characters. some of which were not in many if any game experiences.

At 19.99 too expensive for a fighting game like this...I'll pass till it's more like 4.99

You say that but for $20 your getting 20 characters and 8 assist character. There is no DLC, season pass, expansion or microtransactions. The game is complete and there is nothing extra to buy so you just pay that one price and you have it all and you say its more like $5 for you. Yet I'm sure you want a fighter that nowadays since you made this comment 2 years ago but now you get 11 character rosters for $60+ yes I said $60+ for half the roster of this game and you still need to buy 4 season passes at $30 EACH and the preorder characters, extra costumes, stages, and such for even more money. So you legit and literally have to spend $100-$160+ for each individual fighting game but you think $20 is too much for this and $5 is your preferred price...?
And this is why Tekken 7, GranBlue Versus and so on give no content and sell in pieces announcing two season passes before the game comes out...Then better gaming practices die out in favor of scamming people. Pay at the very damn least $15 or $10 for this and DON"T BUY Tekken, MK, Guilty Gear and such until a complete version ultimate is out and for $15-$20 no more! Do the little guys a favor man geez...

looks like a dud. like so many fighting games these days, it's got choppy animation and attacks are so quick your opponent has no time to recognize-n-react to those moves, this makes for bad fighting.. just like typical guilty gear games, which are also junk for doing this.
