Her tears came from her heart, not from her brain.. Judge Caprio makes her day, thank you Judge Caprio.
This lady knew how to appreciate the help Judge Caprio gave her. It touches the heart, but the brain recognizes what is happening and can join with the heart in being thankful.

I struggle to finish watch, being homeless in America is not easy. Mostly everyone go about their business and dont care. Dont talk about when winter comes 😭😭😭. Thank you house of hope and thank you judge Caprio. I wish i had a father like him, this judge is the epitome of love and compassion

Her daughter is so comfortable with Ms. Smith; it show's how much trust has been built between the four of them, and when Judge Caprio acknowledges their efforts - it seals the deal. The Spirit of the Law prevails. 👏👏👏👏

Wow! This lady broke my heart. I couldn't stop crying just listening to her story. You could hear her pain. I hope she finds stability in her life. I hope there's people that can reach out to her and help her out. There's so much people out struggling.
I think it's really beautiful how the little girl seems so shy at first, but the sécond she hears her mom say 'thank you' and hears the happiness through the tears, she knows the judge did something to make her mom really happy. And thát is the exact moment she suddenly turns around and wants to hug him. She did not understand the legal talk, but she understood the sentiment perfectly. Great job judge Caprio, that was an amazing life lesson in compassion that she will remember forever, and hopefully many with her. Sometimes the things we go through in life may result in us choosing to harden our hearts. Thank you for softening my heart my heart more and more each time I watch you Judge Caprio. My mother is a retired judge and well-loved and respected in her community, known for her sense of justice and fairness. I hope I can be half the person she is and half the person you are one day, so that I become a fully humane person again. As you say, God love you.

I feel for this woman and her daughter. I am currently homeless, and I just live couch to couch and motel to hotel. Judge Caprio makes me ball my eyes out when he reaches out and helps people that he can. We truly NEED more men like Judge Caprio in this world.

What a wonderful judge!! Truly “mercy triumphs over judgment” as the Bible says. This judge knows when to be lenient and when to be firm. That’s why having sentencing mandated by law is not good; it can be terribly heartless (as I know by personal observation as an alternate juror in 1986.) We need more good judges who are given the freedom of discretion for the cases in front of them.
