I've personally done this mod for my own helmet (I use it to ride my electric skateboard), and this is what I've found - Definitely use thicker wires. I used the stock wiring for a while and I'd find it so finicky and also too short to do anything with. Get some 22 gauge wire with some decent insulation and solder on enough length to tuck them somewhere comfortable. My helmet has a battery light on the back, so there's room for a pocket, so I've tucked them there -Use two single AAA cradles. I've tried a double AAA cradle to save on complexity, but all it did was fail to power the visor and heat up the components to no end (Can someone explain this to me? I can't find useful resources) -Make sure your solders are good. Obviously it's good practice for any electronics project, but for something like this where it's jostling around a bit, anything goes, so if you're splicing wires together, give them some good tugs before insulating them with heat shrink to make sure they're not gonna come apart on you -Don't use tape to adhere it to the visor. I've tried packing tape, gorilla tape, duct tape, nothing adheres. I know they've posted a video about how they've actually stuck it to the visor, but me personally, I drilled two little holes in my visor small enough to literally screw the LED's to the visor. Obviously there's less destructive manners, but I was short on parts and found some spare screws lying around that fit perfectly between the eye gaps
((Most likely)) You are having a heat issue because the double AAA cradle is running the batteries into "Series" meaning it is doubling to voltage, not the amperage. The "two single AAA cradles" means you likely had it wired in parallel, which was doubling the available amperage which is what makes your device run longer, instead of doubling the voltage and stressing the circuitry.

Mr.Drakenhoff, it’d be neat if you could figure out how to arrange it/package it so that it all sat on a mirrored visor, so that it was an easy swap out when you’re not riding. If it’s two AAA batteries (1.5v ea), you might be able to get away with a single, smaller LiPO battery (3.7v) running to both power connections, and mount that to the visor underneath the LEDs.
I don't ride while wearing them. It's possible, but you would compromise a lot your vision. I DON'T recommend riding with these. Also, thanks for watching :)

@@devilz37 Maybe, but not if it prevents accidental death! Lol! 'Yes I'm terribly sorry for your loss, your husband died horribly because he wanted to have a flashing emoji eyes on his helmet'... hmm.
@@2484marshall nothing to do with it like another driver just the helmet huh lol
Same here in Portugal, I'm thinking about doing this but instead of placing it on the regular visor I'll place it on my helmets inner drop down sun visor, that way it can remain hidden when not in use.
@@The_FS13 yeh I figured the same. Best option rly if you want it.
Nice mod ... great work
Thanks mate!
I had to deal with a lot of flex seals 😅
Thank u for those LEDs
Flex seal? Is that some sort of strong glue? Never heard of it before... Thank you for watching!
Seems dangerous. This is something an instagram biker would do.
From now on I will present myself as an "Instagram biker". It has a nice sound to it. Thanks!
@@MrDrakenhoff I think the loaf didn't pay much attention to *I DO NOT RECOMMEND WEARING THE GLASSES WHILE RIDING!* ah well, reading isn't everyone's strong point :)
Madscots Madz I have to admit. I am really bad at reading other descriptions before commenting, so I'm not even mad about it👍
Mr.Drakenhoff Yeah almost like “SoundCloud rapper”
Coming up with an idea like this that can’t even be used while riding ties in perfectly with the fact that you only ride a motorcycle on camera and weekends. Maybe if it’s “nice out”. Lol.
This is a great how to vid.
How to invalidate your insurance.
How to crash.
How to get arrested.
How to cause death by dangerous driving.
How to die.
This made me crack up😂 *YES*, you're absolutely right! The LED's are meant for show only! I don't ride with them, neither do I recommend that people do.
These are actually pretty sick, got a sub from me buddy!
Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it!
amazing, i love it!
♥️
Great idea....reducing your vision by 50% while riding a motorcycle just to look "Cool"...... Good luck with an insurance claim when you have an accident!
Couldn't agree more my friend! Sidenote: I don't ride with them, they're only for show ;)
This would look so cool with some lightmode lights on ur helmet as well
that's nice and creative! :D
Thank you 👍
I'm on with this!!! So cool, but I'll try to make it something that can I use everyday 😎
Let me know how that goes! I know that you can use an internal "flippy-visor" to retract it if you want, but I haven't done this myself. 👍👍
I have the same helmet and love it
Some would say it's an "Icon" :P
I like the idea, I'm gonna desing one to display sound input, at the bottom of the visor for better vision also tinner maybe with speakers in the helmet so it amply my voice, maybe voice changer too possibilities are limitless.
I am 100% going to do this. thanks.
AWESOME! If you don't mind, could you send me a pic on my IG when you're done? I'd love to see it 😀
beautiful!!
thanku
Super cool
kevin bailey tyty 🙌
I'd recommend getting a helmet with the shade that comes down and attaching it to the drop down
I've seen a guy on Reddit doing this. Looks great actually 🔥 thanks for watching 🤟
Daaamn. This is so nice 😂😄
Appreciate it, thanks! 🤗
Thanks you man. This idea gave me a project idea. Is there possibly even cheaper alternatives with RED leds?
Not that I know of, but it's very possible that someone has already made that!
Didn't even know those are a thing, looks amazing! Do you know if it can handle being wired into the bike? Also may be a good idea to put in a fuse so if worse case scenario you don't have LEDs or a circuit board blowing up and frying part of your face.
Haven't thought of adding fuses, but I don't see how I would be able to fit that. And no I don't think this will be able to be wired to the bike. It uses 2xAAA. Thanks for watching 😀✌️
Super cool! 😁👌🏻
Thanks mate ^^
Mr.Drakenhoff I’m a fellow biker, drive safe! 😎
Hi dudeee, good video!
I ordered chimeon glasses, is so dope, but their screws are too tight, what screwdriver did you use for those screws?
Regards from chile!
They are really small screwdrivers that I had laying around. Not sure what they're called to be honest
That is sick as
Thank man! I'm really glad you dig it :)
That is so cool man. Very noiiceeeee
Thanks mate! I really appreciate it :D
@@MrDrakenhoff you're blowing up man! Wish I had your confidence to pull apart my headlight and do something cool
@@Tempcitz To be honest it was kinda wreckless... If I hadn't been as lucky as I was I would've had to order a new one xD I'll take the win! :)
Yo this is cool as shit, big thumbs up 👍🏽 and I'm definitely subscribing!
Thanks my guy!
Cool helmet brov.
Thanks man!
Good idea!)
Thanks! I can't take all the credit but I think it's pretty neat :)
That's a nice idea, as a bit of fun while not riding.
Thank you 😀 I'm glad you liked it!
What tbos glasses run. I foind an icon variant the perfect size for me all black for 20.00 so want to do sonething with it. Either an ir or flir thermal heads up in it . But havent started yet. Trying to find a cheap spot to buy ir ir tgermal for a cell phone that plugs into it or some if these glasses are cool . I have made plenty of custom bike stuff but not like this yet. Good vid now i just have to find some stuff and prices lol
Wow that sounds very complex.. Good luck! 😊👍
Can you ride using those ? What about the visibility
I want to do this sooo bad. I don’t have a motorcycle but I have a helmet and I am thinking of adding a skull design with the light up eyes
Cool! Love to see variations of this 👍
