27:44 I am from Kashmir region of Jammu and Kashmir, here we have not experienced much snow this winter. There were snow spells but over mountain regions only . Through the to plain region (not so plain but suitable for settlement) it was negligible. This is a serious issue for us as we are mostly depend upon snowfall like we get enough water in summers only if snow fall was adequate in winters . Also our crops are depend upon rainfall for irrigation and we don't have any monsoon season here . Most importantly our glaciers are melting at a higher level, it is effecting our overall climate.😢

Lack of civic sense is not only exist in urban areas, we rural people too are the same. Plastic wastes are thrown everywhere, in rivers, in roadsides. Personally I always try to not throw wastages everywhere in public places, I search for a dustbine first. But you know I am forced to do that because there is nothing like dustbin and I even no one can't roam hanging those plastics in public places. In local markets, chowks, bus stations. garbages are dumped randomly in open space, no particular side. One more thing I observe that, garbages are dumped for years on the backyard of shops (dukan) in chowks, gathering centres, markets. It all look so dirty when you visit the backside.
Not only about dustbins, there is no proper essential facilities like toilets in public places.
If you ask why don't I do something, I would say I feel discouraged to approach anyone by the environment, by the surroundings, by people. No one seems to care for these things. One may say Schools are hopeful in this case. But I say Schools are itself very poor. Upbringing of students as a child by their parents, societies is very faulty. Students don't even clean their own classrooms, own school toilets. Punishments are required to make students do that things. Students are already addicted to social media, alcohol, cigarettes, porns, online games; boys talks, discuss only about girls, sex, drinks, bikes, roaming late night etc and their language words! you can guess the kind of mouth of today's generation, they use atleast a bad-dirty word in every sentence, they greet friends with similar words. and all these activities start at the age of 15-16, can you imagine that?
As myself a student, all above things are my real experiences, observations.

Hi Sarthak, I am from Canada and came here just 3 years ago. I've seen drastic differences here with India. To your point of civic sense, we don't see many garbage bins in public places where we can throw our garbage, and there is no system for maintaining them. Even if the government provides it, then people steal it. Developed nations have made the process easy and have a system to run it, so they are more advanced than us.

19:39 My take thought on civic sense , I am from Sikkim and I can proudly say that it’s one of the cleanest states in India and people here have good civic sense too , I believe Civic sense should be taught early on in childhood , people here never throw garbage or litter anywhere , I bet you can hardly find any corner or a wall here painted with red pan spit. I and most of Sikkimese people are taught from early on not to litter or cause trouble to strangers , for instance , I remember whenever we went out to travel ,everyone in their vehicle , private or taxis carry dustbins so you don’t litter on road . We have been raised in such a way that we feel guilty if we throw some garbage just anywhere so even till date even if I eat a chewing gum I just keep the wrapper inside my pocket so I can throw it when I find a dustbin , ohh and we have a lot of dustbins here lol . Also I want to add that Sikkim is also one of the major tourist hosts and tourist too don’t litter here , cab drivers are required to teach them that they cannot litter anywhere , and maintain the serenity of the place . Also there is this guilt factor that when you don’t see a single wrapper on the street ,you feel guilty if you do so , also local people proactively advice or guide tourists to not do so , I for myself have told 6-7 times tourists not to urinate in public , in the most humble way I could . I have walked tourists to their hotels or their destinations although I was going some other way because we were always taught by our parents and mentors to help others in need .
So saying tourists shouldn’t be allowed or permitted in mountains isn’t logical especially when you are a state like Sikkim whose major income is from tourism instead teach them your ways and you yourself keep your place clean in the first place , so even they feel guilty to litter it.
Also no noise here , no honking allowed unnecessarily, and you should see the traffic discipline here too .
Sorry if I sound like I’m boasting but it really is like that here in Sikkim , if someone has been to Sikkim or from Sikkim , please confirm . ❤

me and my family visited maha kumbh twice, I really liked the management and cooperation of police and at the same time was quite shocked to the amount of waste that had be done near the place which is considered to be holy, it truly showed how much lack of civic sense our nation has.
