Hughes has proven himself to me. I was skeptical when he was 1st hired. (PTSD) from GM's of the past. I was on team wright (Mostly because I knew nothing about slafkovsky) I was proven wrong. I was on team Lenard last year, but I did not understand the shortage of right shot defenseman. This year I did not expect demidov to still be available a 2nd. Looks like a steal. The future looks bright. I just hope players like Anderson, devorak, and dach bounce back. That will make or break the season IMO
Apart from choosing Reinbacker over Michkov (which I will never understand because a Michkov + Demidov duo would be an automatic Stanley Cup win), they seem to know what they are doing. Can you imagine the trios: Michkov - Suzuki - DemiGod , Slafkofski - Hage - Caufield, Newhook - Dach - Roy, etc.. No team could compete... Oh well I guess we'll never know😢
When it comes to Demidov, if he hits his ceiling, we should forget 8 or 9 million dollars. His first contract out of his ELC will be an 8 figure AAV contract, and that's fine. He'll be worth it.
@@alexturbide3949 did you watch the playoffs? Just asking. Holloway was terrific in his level of effort, his checking, he was relentless. The kind of kid we need on our third line that can play on the second when needed. He look solid beside Drysitl.

Just wondering….sidney Crosby is a UFA after this coming year. Would he be a fit on a two or three year deal?
I don't think he'll ever leave Pittsburgh, and if he did, I don't think he would go to Montreal to finish his career.
