Good stuff. I love seeing this truck get worked on as I have the same crane on one of my trucks. Tip for they threaded cylinders. When you are sliding it back together. Take and cut the center 6” out of a two litter plastic soda bottle and use it to protect the seals as they go by the threads. It also helps to compress the seals so they slid right in. As soon as the piston gets past pull the plastic out.
What I do is go to office max and go to the ID laminating sheets (plastic sheets that you insert the card or picture and heat seal the item) and wrap the piston with the sheet so I can insert the rod and not get the piston seals cut or scratched as you insert the rod, then pull out the sheet as it gets pats the threads. Love your stuff! keep up the good work!
That outrigger cylinder is built the same as my boom extension cylinder on my knuckle boom crane. Seals went out on it, and I couldn't find replacements, so I'm swapping it to a off the shelf cylinder. (Hopefully I'll get that video uploaded one of these days!) I also find it interesting that one of your outriggers is a telescoping style, and the other is a swing arm.
Man yeah I hear ya. If you ever need some weird size seals let me know. I know it might be a lot of trouble but you can ship me the gland and the piston I can get them resealed if replacing cylinder isn’t an option. I know the first time I seen the truck I wondered that myself. I’ve seen a couple of different configurations on the same principle but not one like that one.
I’d say medium to high! Thought you were going to tilt some more and winced a bit. Great job, getting ‘er done as always, just how I like it. Weather looks great, from a UK point of view.
So nice to fix up an old truck yourself. Graphite spray is what you need on that outrigger instead of grease. It won’t collect near as much debris. When is the paint job coming
Nice job with the outrigger. Like your dad bringing in the 15 pack of Natty lights, it's so nice when dollar general has them on sale. You remind me so much of a buddy we lost a few years back it's scary, if your ever up in northeast Alabama, let me know, we'll light a fire, burn something on the grill, drink some Natty's, and tell some lies.
My wife’s dad used to drink them. Several months after his death i was cleaning out his truck and found 2 cans inside of a cat food bag in his toolbox.
Yes sir my dad has always called them natural lit lol. That’s funny you say that went to Detroit Alabama to pick up a tractor the other day we will definitely have to do that sometime.
You are fortunate to have a local source for seals, Allegheny-York just North of York Pa is an company they will match or make, ups to them, they ship the next day
You will get your moneys worth out of this boom ..Well worth the repairs and maintenance I f I lived next door I would clean it up and paint it for you
if i didnt kno any better id say the inner tube of the out rigger was clocked wrong in the outer judging by the wear pads being on tge wrong side and you mentioning it going down hard and seeming tight
I just did one of those internal cylinder my self.00 that was breached between the outer and inner which will cause a creep out when running other functions not fun, very expensive
Sorry about that I think it might’ve accidentally got deleted and I couldn’t find your email address. If you don’t mind you can send it again to my same address ethanewing1586@gmail.com put a bunch of AAAAA’s in the subject box that way it’ll come up to the top of my list if you don’t mind. I do apologize about that though.

A condom works too
You do a nice job, I always enjoyed doing that type of work,

It's because of the crane offset. Hence that side needs to extend out.
Great job. As always nothing to do but to get it done!!!!
Cool video - thanks for taking us along. 💪👍🏼

I like your work nothing fancy just straight up skill
Great job great video. I will hit you up on those uncommon hydraulic gland seal replacements . Some are just hard to match up .
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the dozer reawakening
Great job
Take care and God Bless my friend!
I've never seen a cylinder like that that's really interesting.

Thanks for the video
Always love your videos say were you ever going to go over those tools you used in the video you did when you replaced the edge on that dirt pan
Yes sir been meaning to get on that. Might be the next video.
Nice job!
Why the difference in outrigger styles on the rear of the truck? 👍🏴
Boom is corner mounted so passenger side outrigger is larger / stronger
Nice job with the outrigger.

You need to in stolid a remote controlee on your crane. That would cut down on your need to get up and down to check your work.
Bustin out the Natty Light haha

It might need a new set of slides or reshim the old ones
I would have run the truck onto some ramps to get the extra height
Hahahaha have to get the wife to hold The hernia in to move a ramp big enough.
Maybe you could have used the fork lift to raise that side of the truck?
do with what you got good job on the pucker factor lol. you still coming to flywheel festival
Hahaha yes sir coming up this month.
@@EEJester1586 good maybe I will see you and ketchup there
#alltheketchup
