It's been my experience that people that get a little bit less wiring in the speech department typically have that wiring installed in another department and that ends up making that part of their brain more effective than the average persons.
I didn't know what these were for but was thinking about it after seeing one for sale in a catalog. You just saved me from coming to ask if I need one.... useful info as always
I love that not every one of these quick tip videos has to be a direct ad. Most other companies would make sure they have a direct plug for something they carry before doing a particular video no matter how useful the content might be. One of a few reasons I come back to Maker's even when there is a supplier or two that are a little quicker in shipping where I'm at.
I've bought 6 different glass slickers now, and none of them have a perfectly rounded edge (leaving me with lines). I have resorted to just using a hardwood dowel rod. I'd be more than happy to buy a Barry King, if it is perfectly rounded.
@@makersleathersupply1220 What I may do is die the back and burnish it first. Then flip it over and punch all of my slits and then dye and seal the top, then cut it.
As a guy that also as a bit of a speech fluency problem. I respect you even more for doing these videos.

Greetings from Canada. I love your tutorials. Thanks for taking the time to help out newbies.
I don't work with leather, don't plan to, nor have I even heard of a glass slicker. But, I do enjoy watching your videos. Keep going Aaron 👍

I'm here to help leather workers so they don't struggle like I did when learning. The store is just what I have to do for a living. Ha ha ha

Put it into a vice and with a metal file, and water, dab it over the edge you want to file and round it off, wear gloves and wet file to your spec.
How do you burnish the back side of the leather with the glass without stretching the leather?
Easiest answer is that you don't. Burnish the back and then cut it to size. Otherwise, just burnish lightly and try to keep it from stretching.

You’re awesome!!!
Keep em coming
Does the leather shrink at all back to its original state?
a little bit. I normally will wait a few minutes for the shrinkage before I cut out my pattern and put tape on the back.
@@makersleathersupply1220 makes good sense. Thanks for the reply.
were is the link to the tool??
As I stated in the video, I do not sell the tool. Barry King has them on his website, and other leathercraft suppliers sell them as well.
