    I mostly play with Synergy stuff. I've been trying to get into wet/dry using the stereo effects loop and my super chorus/digital delay dd-7. It's pretty fun stuff! I only have one cab, but the SYN-2 does stereo cab sim out. Still very odd hearing a wet only signal with chorus

  • @TheSilence420i
    @TheSilence420i 4 года назад +1

    Either I've lost my mind or is there some minor like 20ms or such delay between the signals? I just hear this weird wall between tones like they're reverbed awkwardly, though I'm probably just wrong about something here, don't have enough experience to tell exactly what it is (out of phase maybe?)

    Dude idk how many times I’ve watched this video lol. I’m trying to make a poor man’s version so to say. Do you think you could achieve something accurate in the delay department with a tc flashback? If not would there be any smaller pedals you recommend? If not then I won’t compromise lol

    You opened for the mighty Chris Holmes? That is a true once in a lifetime experience. I was just listening to " The last command" a few hours ago by coincidence.
    The older I get, the more I feel an affection and connection to the guitar players I like from the late 70's and early 80's. It's not that I dont like some modern players, it's just that when I play, I seem to want to play 80's metal. No shame.
    By the way, nice F$#K LIKE A BEAST guitar demo!

    I've thought about doing something similar with two solid state amplifiers myself;
    I've had a pretty sweet idea to run two solid state amps but have been unsure as to wether i should go with two Randall RG heads or if i should mess around with a Randall and my Orange Crush Pro 120. The basic idea though is that both amps would be boosted but one wouldn't have anything in the FX Loop and the other solid state amp would have what's called an aural exciter in the loop which eliminates that sterile sound that you tend to get with a lot of solid state amplifiers. With the two of these amplifiers combined, i figured the regular SS amp would be able to add some really nice midrange twang, as well as the amp with the aural exciter being able to add back the low end that the other amp doesn't have.

  • @earthshine402
    @earthshine402 4 года назад

    cool comparison. Is it possible to do some added experiments such that the volume level is normalized across all instances.. many of the dry, wet dry cases the volume is louder, and it is possible that in such comparisons, "louder is better".

    Love it! Great tones. I messed with a configuration of my gear that switched between a clean amp and a dirty amp using one of those same A/B/Y's. Quite by accident I had discovered a few of those configurations you showed and your right it "feels" so much better. More alive and responsive, it's like it wants to be played and is not brittle feeling. Playing with the delay tails is fun as hell too and no need for a chorus pedal. \M/
