haha yes! i made a comment on another item where i've been waiting for the configuration items of this to be in place since before the current implementation of Power BI. very happy to see it.
This is fantastic especially to guide the end users who are new to assessment and evaluation with pre-established questions. It is also awesome that the visual corrects the questions or allows the developer to do so cause the end user may not exactly know how the columns are named in the data table queries.
Agreed. It is pretty slick. I love that the configuration elements and training items are in place now as well. I've personally been waiting a long time for that (since before the current implementation of Power BI).
It would be awesome to also add natural language processing function in the next version so we can ask the questions verbally in the mobile power bi app. I can see it coming 😀
Hey Adam & Justyna, how do we refresh the "Review Questions" tab in Desktop's Q&A Setup? I'm asking it stupid questions in the Service but they're not appearing 😋
Can i visualise my report by clicking on logo. for example if there is data of two companies and i click on one company's logo then will it show the data of that company? ...is this possible? please reply
This is a great visual and exciting improvement! However, for those with sensitive mouses (like mine!) - the double click to launch the visual is EXTREMELY annoying when authoring reports. I would post to the October PBI release, but comments are locked there. Hope this has an impact... Lol, thanks!
I am seeking guidance on how to implement gradient color schemes within the titles of visuals in Power BI. Could someone kindly provide a detailed procedure for achieving this? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Is there a way to change the auto populated questions that show up under "Try one of these to get started"? The questions that are auto generated are not relevant and are going to confuse my report users. It would be great if I could create the sample questions that show up in this space.
It seems not possible yet to define things like " 'awesome' categories or whatever" based on measures (just columns). Is it right? For example, say that awesome categories have [SalesMeasure] > 5000000

Yes. still English only. As Colin mentioned, Spanish support is available as a preview feature, but not sure how well it runs as we don't speak spanish. What language were you looking for?

Seems to work great in Power BI desktop. But when I publish an existing report to the service with the Q&A visual, the visual isn't returning any results. If I add the Q&A visual to a new report and publish it, it works in the service. Hopefully this is temporary.
That sounds like a bug! One potential reason could be that we didn't finish building out the Q&A resources if you went to the report immediately after publishing and your report was pretty large. Would you be able to check if Q&A is still not working in that original report you published and let me know what you find?
@@justynalucznik1220 I checked the next day and the Q&A visual was working in the report. I did additional tests on existing reports and the Q&A visual did work as soon as it was published. Maybe I just picked the wrong day to test it. Great feature that I hope to use often!
For what it's worth, Justyna did query for World of Warcraft and it did have results. We should have done this in the video, but alas we didn't. 😁
This fulfills promise of Q & A since I saw first version in 2013.

Love this new way to use Q&A

Not able to see the settings gearbox on my Q&A visual at the top right. what could I be missing?
A great feature!

Excellent, very nice.
By the way, what is the custom visual for the titles? some text enhancer?
Just an image :D
@@justynalucznik2491 really? Looks like a new custom visual...
Report design magic :)
Yo Yo Yo Guy in a cube and Justyna 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂
Woot! Justyna is a pro at presentations. Always a joy create content with her. 👊

Definitely checking out this cool visualization in my reports

looks great, when will Q&A work against composite/Direct Query data sources
No questions as of now, though this looks to have tremendous potential. I'd watch a more in-depth video on this new feature.
awesome to hear! Lots of interest in this right now. 👊

The Q&A setup gear doesn't populate for live connections (SSAS Tabular Model). Will that ability be coming soon (for live connections)?
Woww, it's really awesome 🕶
Naji K.
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching 👊

how can we use this visual if the source is tabular... ?
does Q&A work with Directquery data sources?
Hey Adam! Do you know of any advancements on making the Q&A visual compatible with models with OLS? Such a deal-breaker for entreprise models :(
Awesome!

I need know, is there functionality to get voice enable Q & A like "Hi Google" or "Hi Alexa"
finished watching
just to let you know that, Q&A wont work with a DirectQuery data source.
That is correct. Thanks for calling it out.

Let me guess, still English only?
I'm really curious on how the roadmap for other languages look like.
There is Spanish language support for Q&A under the preview features in PBI Desktop options
Yes. still English only. As Colin mentioned, Spanish support is available as a preview feature, but not sure how well it runs as we don't speak spanish. What language were you looking for?
Nice short and sharp video. But please dont start with a loud Yo!
Appreciate the feedback Mike. And glad you liked the video. :( the Yo is a signature for a long while now.

@@Xrusader Awesome glad to hear that :D
Is this available in Power BI Embedded?
Yup. Should work fine.
This was insane.
Fake Presentation, is it through the cloud service or through the Desktop?
Fake? This was all done inside of the October 2019 build of Power BI Desktop. It is available today.
@@GuyInACube - I'm sure he meant "Fake" in the Presidential sense, i.e. totally factual, it's just he doesn't understand how you did it ...
