Looking back, it seems like you were spot on with some of these! Now I'm just hoping to see more shows added in the future (maybe using the Wilderness Theater more?) and some refreshes to the park's kiddie areas. But overall, I'm pretty happy with the direction the park seems to be going!
Beautification is happening, but very slow moving due to limited labor. Entertainment department got hit with some huge losses this year so lower your expectations outside of some weekend seasonal fests. Carnival games are being outsourced entirely i think this year. Other stuff is on the back burner to be removed. There are A LOT of other glaring issues.
WGN morning news teased that Six Flags Great America might be annoucing something new. They Marcus Leshock (WGN coaster guy) mentioned something. Take a look of the video he tweeted about the top thrill dragster announcement and he teases something for SFGA.
U know what they need is to run full capacity on Almost each ride besides maxx force when it is fright fest, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and summer weekends because those days get crowded
It is already a very pretty park. I've watched POVs of Superman and Batman, and the ones here are much nicer looking than the ones at Over Georgia, or Great Adventure. But some extra beautification would still help. I just think other parks need it more.
I agree that the go-karts aren't necessarily. If it were feasible, I'd replace that with an S&S Screaming Swing like the ones at Valleyfair and Cedar Point.
Buccaneer battle was taken off the website. My hope is they combine that plot with the go karts plot to build a new coaster because they are right across the service road from each other Dare Devil Dive was also taken off the website, perhaps a screaming swing would fit nicely there.
Six flags did have the nighttime food festival in July 2022 when they had food in the main park area and some of the rides open until later at night. Wouldn’t that be considered a festival?
I donno I feel like Six Flags as a whole, this new bussiness modle of, charging high ticket prices for mediocre attractions and mediocre quality is just a really bad idea. The GP will not go. Especially even now, the way the economy is and how almost everyone is living paycheck to paycheck personally I wouldn't want to spend any extra money on a high ticket price for a park with semi ok quality. If I am going put that kind of money out on an amusement park, I would might as well aim at a resort amusement park and perhaps spend a little more for that beacuse of the quality of the park and attractions. Six Flags Great America does have a solid line up that's for sure but again looking at quality of the park with other attractions and improvements. Parks are ultimately consumer products in a way. You gotta match the quality with the price and what is offered, in a nut shell.
It seems to me like they have already lightened up a bit on the high pricing. You can get a platinum pass for $75 right now or $7.99 a month. A single day ticket is $45. That's more than reasonable and the GP can totally afford that

There aren't really any other options for these people. Unless they are willing to travel all the way to Cedar Point.
