I remember hitting those heavy fire parts of the game, failing, and spending more and more Chuck E Cheese coins on the game until I ran out of coins. Glad I finally saw the end of the game...
I played that game before with my dad's best friend it was a lot of fun we just beat chapter 1 and we only barely made it into the two thirds of the second level
Played this game at my local Chuck E. Cheese. It was my favourite game because of the graphics, tension, suspense, and the strategy that comes with it. If I could play this game again I would be very excited too. Great play demonstration!
I remember playing it at a Chuck E. Cheese at Charleston West Virginia back when I was in middle school. I remember losing to it twice, then one day I spent all my tokens on it, about half way through the 3rd or 2nd mission some kid came to help me, and we beat it together! I couldn't be more satisfied.
@@vknight2078 I don't think the Dreamcast could handle it. Brave Firefighters ran on the Sega Hikaru arcade system, which was significantly more powerful than the Dreamcast. This is evident from all the lighting and particle effects. Even the PS2, Xbox and GameCube would struggle to handle it, let alone the Dreamcast.
I remember playing this game at a bowling alley as a kid all the time. Thought I imagined it or something no one ever knows what game I'm talking about lol
I used to play this all the time at my chuck e cheese. I'm actually a firefighter now so it's hella cool to come back and watch this from that perspective. Thank you!
There were two cabinets of this that I remember growing up. One at an old arcade near my old home had the hose control bolted to the console, so you couldn't actually physically pick it up and point it more directly. This made entire portions of the game infinitely harder than they had to be, and getting time bonuses was pretty much impossible. It was probably something the owner devised to make patrons use more quarters. Either that, or they had to do it to dissuade kids from throwing the controller on the ground in frustration. The other cabinet at an arcade I visited once on a trip was actually situated in the back of the room. It happened to be RIGHT NEXT to a portable heater. So while you were blasting away fires, the heater next to you was cooking and making you sweat. Still one of my favorite experiences at any arcade.
Played this at Chuck E Cheese and Dave and Busters as a kid...loved the ending sequence from 22:18 to 23:07: EVERY story like this certainly needs a happy ending like this one.
I saw this game at a Chuck E. Cheese around 2006 maybe. I loved this game but I only got to play it maybe 3 times in total, if I had a chance I would play it now.
I could see why I think because a fire is something that can legit happen in real life and spread so fast and quick as compared to something that is supposed to be scare zombies, it's something fictional.
@@vinny_vance_lance Wii and PS Move controls would have been perfect for it. I could also imagine another set of game modes and extra content, including stages where you're using fire boats to put out fires at sea, piloting firefighting choppers for a wildfire, and using ladder hoses to put down fires in a skyscraper.
I still remember playing this game every time I went to our local arcade. I was bad at it, but I once did solid when I played with my friend Timothy, we got up to level 3 before losing lol. RIP, buddy. Still miss ya 🙏
Why this wasn't widely spread I'll never know. Yeah, the controller was a bit cumbersome, but pretending to be a firefighter has been on the thoughts of every young boy's mind at some point or other. This would have rocked in the arcades back then.
How did you keep your water pressure like that? I used my hose for too long and I lost some pressure. This is back then that I didn't learn how to play this game and I end up getting a Game Over...
That game it’s make me think about the movie of John Travolta and Joaquin phoenix in ladder 49 when Joaquin used to be in engine 33 before he moved to ladder 49
I remember this. There was an arcade cabinet at Chuck E. Cheese's.
Man I kicked ass at this game lol
I remember hitting those heavy fire parts of the game, failing, and spending more and more Chuck E Cheese coins on the game until I ran out of coins. Glad I finally saw the end of the game...
Brave firefighters gave me the nightmares.
Me too it’s too hard for me as a kid

After successfully ridding the world of zombies and evil corporations, G and Rogan were forced to become firefighters to pay rent
One of the best RUclips comments I’ve ever read. Thank you.
@@eggydrums What kind of a game is this?
That has become my headcanon lol
Well said brother
It's AMS after all

I wish this game was ported to the Sega Dreamcast. Would be great if I could play it outside of an arcade.

Man I remember how crazy the controller back in the arcade it was really heavy
They used some real parts from a fire hose
@Alex Mayle talk about immersion
@@vinny_vance_lance Not the best for children though XD It was genuinely a lot of fun though
Some arcades have the controllers on mounts that can rotate the controller so you don’t have to hold it
I remember playing this game at a bowling alley as a kid all the time. Thought I imagined it or something no one ever knows what game I'm talking about lol
I played this game all the time too
I like the fact it uses the same engine House of the Dead uses.
No wonder it looks really similar
The house of the dead is now just a house on fire.
And terrible voice acting
I thought it used a variation of the Model 3 made specifically for the fire effects.
I like how the rating is “suitable” for all children EVEN THOUGH THERES A PART WHERE A MAN GETS LIT ON FIRE
I used to play this all the time at my chuck e cheese. I'm actually a firefighter now so it's hella cool to come back and watch this from that perspective. Thank you!
I wish I could find a arcade cabinet of this for myself, I really wanna play it again.
My arcade place still have one 😊
There one at Galloping Ghost Arcade in Chicago IL.

This game scared the shit out of me as a kid.
Agreed.
lol same here! xD
Like in real life, fire can be scary since spreading quick.
Dedicated to the many brave members of our local Fire Department. 🚒

12:00 That’s the generator in the game’s intro that started the fire!
Noah Sullivan good eye
That's good noah!
The moment when the fire GETS A FUCKING HEALTH BAR
This game deserves a remake or a spiritual successor.

Great looking graphics for its time.
This game scared me more than House of the Dead did lol
I agreed I would get nightmares playing brave firefighters.

@@vinny_vance_lance yeah a horror survival game is fictional and easy to set aside as a separate universe/fantasy, this is less so.
"Time bonus!" "Are you all right?"
I could never get past Scene 1. I'd run out of water pressure and that would be my undoing.
I remember playing this at Chuck E. Cheese
Same that’s why I looked this video up
When I was 6 I thought the mayor intentionally sabotaged the basement generator to start the fire.
I remember first seeing this at a Celebration Station in Houston, Texas over 20 years ago...good times.
H townnnn, I also played it there but in a chuck e cheese
This game is so harrowing and tense it makes you want to still play it
This should have been on Sega Dreamcast.
Agreed but I'm more surprised it didn't get a rerelease like on the Wii or something.
This was not on Naomi, it was on Hikaru. DC couldn’t possibly handle this game.

Call 911 on the New York City fire department
real fire hose man bring back arcades
im so glad he didn't use the elevator, because in real life that is a common fact during a fire. 15:00 looked like he was for a sec lol
I think there's an alternate path in Scene 2 where you do take an elevator.
I wonder if there is a police themed one called brave police officers.
The hose they bought must have been very long...
So long time i played that at Philippines, i wish play that game again

*Picks up lifeless body* the child’s alright!
now we all know why the water tax bills are always ggoing up

If Fire Force gets a video game, it has to play like this.
U think so.. if only they release it.. but here I am.. laughing at Mayor Taylor's pussy scream 😂😂
Well this game have an console release and it plays similar like this
How did you keep your water pressure like that? I used my hose for too long and I lost some pressure. This is back then that I didn't learn how to play this game and I end up getting a Game Over...
You have to let off the spray every so often to recover the water pressure.
This is a pretty damn solid game. Somebody get this back in the arcades!
That game it’s make me think about the movie of John Travolta and Joaquin phoenix in ladder 49 when Joaquin used to be in engine 33 before he moved to ladder 49
I remember this at Dave and busters it felt like a fever dream
Do everyone hear Tom Kenny voice in the game or it’s just my imagination.

Anyone wanting to play this on its orig cabinet there is one at Galloping Ghost in Chicago

This game gave me the nightmares but it was a lot of fun.
hi! Great video! What is your setup please ? U play under Demul ?
This arcade game is epic and intense
God damn it was always another person that went and got hurt/caught further in the fire lol
Weird question : can you die in this game?
@StrangeElf1 But you get a time penalty if a flying ember hits you or a civilian is continuously on fire
TIME BONUS!
does anybody know any arcades where I can play this game? I'd pay anything to play it again.
I thought the whole world was on fire
