I’ve seen that kind of work before in Georgia but not with a figurine of a mermaid carved into it. For that particular candle maybe I would pay $100 because it will last a while.

With all the respect to the maker but this heavy candle would hardly go with any interior. I would not take it even if it was for free. Sorry but maybe there is a reason why only two ppl in the world are making them… noone wants to buy something that much tasteless, heavy and cheap looking even though it is handmade it gives u a feel of something u would see for sale in china town area…
Everyone has different tastes. He’s been making these candles for over 30 years and he holds a booth at the Texas renaissance festival every year. So he must get customers. Personally, I’ve been wanting one for years. I’m more into quirky decor and I love it.

I forgot to mention that you can use the candle forever! Once it tunnels you can refill it with votive candles
