My book was pre-ordered, and I'm in the US. I just checked my book, and although I've already looked at it, I checked again to see if maybe i missed anything? Miine is perfect, no problems with the printing. I would email the publisher. I had an issue with a Hanna Karlzon book a few years back, emailed the publisher, and they sent me a new copy. Granted, they're not the same publisher, but it doesn't hurt to try, plus it will make them aware of the issue.
Description- A compilation of her other books in a smaller size. Id really like to see some new things from her. Love her style. Fun to color. Great size! But for the price? Sorry. These are all images we've seen before. Just my opinion. Ps. I return books to Amazon all the time. You should exchange it! Thanks for the video
My book arrived Tuesday morning pre-ordered 5 days prior to release from Amazon and was printed perfectly. Your book is double-printed. If you have a Wal-Mart or Barnes and Noble you can purchase them in the store directly. I picked up a second copy for my niece since I saw them on the shelf while in Barnes and Noble. 💕🎨
I didn't pre-order. I got a couple copies at Walmart. Neither has any double printed image illustrations. But I saw yours it definitely had double printed shadows in many pages... I definitely like the size of the book. Also that everyone received the same book no matter where they live. Still for the cost of this one would have definitely preferred spiral binding.
There's also an issue with images being cut off which your title page has, where the hot air balloon at the top is sliced. My publishing page is cut off where yours is fine, so there's been multiple printing issues which is dissapointing but not Johanna's fault so I'm not too bothered. The UK and US also have different coloured paper, but in the middle of my book is a few whiter pages compared to the paper in the rest.
I got mine Wednesday and it doesn’t have any issues. If I was you I would contact Johanna and at least let her know what’s going. I like the book but I’m having problems figuring out what to color bc there is such a variety. And the small spaces do better with a harder lead pencils, fine liners and gel pens. Thanks for sharing 😊
I agree with your coloring choices. I am hoping to get a set of colored gel pens for christmas so I'm saving most of it for then. But I've used a harder pencil set on one page and it's been fun so far! I may also try my fineliner side of my water-based marker set too!
I’ve not preordered it but I’ll get this I think. I like small things to colour when I only have a few minutes. I’d contact the publisher about the double printing. They should send you a new copy.
Mine was a pre-order from February from New York, but is fine. I had to break the spine too. The glue on the front and back covers was annoying. Otherwise, I love this book. My friend’s book was double printed all over too.
I didn’t bother because the lines really dont bother me and can’t see me once I color over, but was definitely curious if anyone else saw the same in their preorders.
Thank you for the flip through. I honestly don’t see anything new, Johanna changed the book size like Hanna did with hers. This one is not my cup of tea. In fact these books are childish after so many being the same. Just my opinion
A lot of the images are 'similar' to those in her other books but redrawn more simple styled for this book. I didn't see that many exactly the same 'just shrunk down' images, though I don't have all her regular books. I can see how it can get repetitive if you have a lot of them though, I am enjoying the smaller format and simpler designs personally, as someone with just 3 of her normal books.
I mean her style is her unique style, so you are going to see what seems like “repetitive” but really isn’t. It’s just the style she has. Nothing here was shrunk down from other books though. Also, the reason she did this tiny one was because it was meant to give you a smaller book so that you could complete pages faster - not feeling like you are spending days on a WIP. That said, I have all of her books and this definitely doesn’t repeat. I think it is more her signature style that makes it feel that way, which I get can be quite annoying.
At some point I have to give a hard pass on these tiny drawings that require razor sharp pencils at all times in order to complete anything. Hope you can get your book replaced quickly, I would not be happy with that shadowing.
She did really well with this book, she has a little bit of everything in it
I agree, it's a cute book with darling drawings. A perfect pick me up when you travel or need a break from full pages.
@@bambookat8796 yes!!!

Yes, I know you can return it lol. I too do that frequently. However, I was more so just seeing how many people got doubled up copies.

Spiral would have been nice, especially since the spine was glued so tight.

I thought everyone got the same paper this time?
@ColorfullyOptimistic It's the same paper type and thickness, but the US has a whiter shade while the UK is more off-white/cream coloured:)

Yeah, I did send a message to her and Amazon regarding the double print issue.
I’ve not preordered it but I’ll get this I think. I like small things to colour when I only have a few minutes.
I’d contact the publisher about the double printing. They should send you a new copy.
Yeah it's a bummer her latest release has it. I know there will be people fuming, where as I'm fine just coloring over it
I ordered mine on Amazon, a couple of days ago and mine looks fine. No double printing.
Yeah seems a few were double printed, but many got lucky.
I preordered my copy and didn’t have any double printing or errors in my copy.
Lucky! Lol
I do believe it’s a misprint with the double lines. I received mine today and did not have any double lines ..I pre-ordered also.
Interesting…
Mine has the double print like yours. I pre ordered.
Ah I’m not alone lol
I did pre-order my book and it’s just fine. However, I did hear of several people that had double printed pages too.
Yeah, just depends on the batch that went out I suppose
My book is fine. There are no issues i'm in the uk preordered mine ❤
Yeah, seems some did, some didn’t. I was just unlucky ha
@ColorfullyOptimistic yeah if you contact Johanna or the publisher, i believe they are replacing the double print books
No issues in my book as well! You unfortunately received a dud. Not pre-ordered.
Brilliant flip through.. just checked mine and mine is ok .. maybe they will exchange it for you tysmfs 🥰
Usually Amazon is great with exchanges, but really, it's not a big deal because once I color over it, you never see it :)
I got mine a couple of weeks ago and I have the double printing error too 😢
Awe shoot I'm sorry to hear that.
Mine was a pre-order from February from New York, but is fine. I had to break the spine too. The glue on the front and back covers was annoying. Otherwise, I love this book. My friend’s book was double printed all over too.
Awesome!
i preordered mine in april from amazon US. no issues with the printing. maybe you could return it for an exchange?
I didn’t bother because the lines really dont bother me and can’t see me once I color over, but was definitely curious if anyone else saw the same in their preorders.

Interested to see if any more of the colouring book get shrunk.

I think it's a printer issue. Mine doesn't have the double line thing
Mine has the same print issues but not a huge deal. It does irritate me a bit considering the price.
Your book is defective. I pre-ordered and none of my images are doubled. I love the book!
Yea... my luck unfortunately
I pre-ordered and mine was fine. I double checked the pages you pointed out. You must have gotten a dud. :( TFS!
Too intricate for me.but maybe 5 below might have it one day
It is small, so it makes things a little more intricate for sure, but I like it.
At some point I have to give a hard pass on these tiny drawings that require razor sharp pencils at all times in order to complete anything. Hope you can get your book replaced quickly, I would not be happy with that shadowing.
Really, they aren’t that small. I was coloring in it the other day and it didn’t feel too difficult.
