Yezdi Roadking 1987 Model
The Yezdi Roadking was a motorcycle produced in India by Ideal Jawa Ltd, Mysore from 1978 to 1996. It was based on the CZ 250 motocross (type 980.5) ridden by Jaroslav Falta to the runner-up spot in the 1974 motocross world championship.
he Yezdi Roadking is powered by a 250cc, air-cooled, two-stroke single-cylinder engine with twin exhaust. It can draw a maximum torque of 2.43 kgm @ 4250 rpm. and cruise to a top speed of 120 kmph.
Using the cylinder block from the 1974 CZ, the Roadking also uses the same rod for kick-starting and gear shifting. The front suspension of this bike features a telescopic fork with hydraulic shock absorbers and the rear part has hydraulic shock absorbers alone.

This model is the CDI (Electronic Ignition) version launched in 1993. Till 1992 the Stripes on the tank was just gold thick pinstripe around the logo and had the dreaded CB (contact breaker) ignition. Compared to the CDI the CB versions were a little wild.

For daily commute it's not going to be a problem at all . So that's not a problem . The problem is get one of these motorcycle in good mint condition.

Well maintained yezdi . Sir as you live in Banglore then you must have observed various types of Jawa and Yezdi . Accoding to your experience which type of Yezdi or Jawa have loudest kickstarting sound --- yezdi - D 250 . yezdi - CL 2 , yezdi roadking .... ?

Not really , you can only have a marginal increase in mileage by riding style . Otherwise not much that can be done .
