This is my first video and to start my journey I want to show all of my debts and what they are and everything else that comes with it. I talk about my DMP (debt management plan) with step change and when this will be paid off.

You’ve got this. The first step is writing it all down as you have and seeing them big numbers. Small progress is progress. I do think bi-polar plays a massive role in money management. We are all here to support you in your journey 🥰🥰🥰
I agree. It was super scary when I first saw it all written down. I didn't think I was that far in debt. But clearly I am.
I think it really does. I'm on medication and am much more stable so I'm hoping that will help in the way of budgeting and sticking to it.

@@Sloth_Budgets that’s good to hear. Once your mindset fully changes to budgeting and paying off debt you’ll flourish with it. I would definitely recommend having a cash binder for at least birthdays, Christmas, car service/mot/tax, clothes and emergency fund. Even if its £5/10 a month in each - it all adds up and your future self will be sooo glad. Posting on here and insta does help with keeping in check and having others encourage you and it’s a must to celebrate all little wins and successes, no matter how small 🥰🥰🥰

I am like you I tried to do all cash but didn’t work for me particularly so I do digital but at times do cash too. You do what is best for you and your budget. 😊 there is no judgement here at all🥰I done a lot stupid things with money so just happy you on your journey and you will find a lot people here to support you😇😊❤

Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing this with us. You have done amazing with how much you have paid off and are paying off monthly. Don't struggle with cash to be honest so happy that I can try to manage my finances with the cash I budget. Can't see the rest of your journey.
I honestly can't believe how much I've paid off tbh. Never in my life have I been able to pay off my debt and maintain it. I find that if I have savings pots I dip into them so I'm going to try and do my savings in cash so I don't feel tempted as it is not where I can visually see it. It is such a bad habit. But I'm so determined to be debt free, not only for myself but for my family as well. We can do this! 🩷

Excellent video! I'm over in the USA but I can sympathize. I would love to use all cash as well but - like you said, it's just so difficult to use cash when you gas up your car. And I order my groceries online and pick them up; can't do that with cash I'm afraid. Where I grocery shop it's free to do a curb side pickup if you buy over $35 worth of stuff. It just works out for me because I don't impulse shop if I'm not walking up and down the aisles.

It really is. I'm hoping even by doing it like this there will still be a little bit of money left at the month I will be able to cash stuff. I do click and collect as it's so much easier as I pick it up on my way home from work, as I am also an impulse buyer.

I was so shocked when I first wrote the numbers down. I couldn't believe it was so high. No way did I think it was that much. But those pounds here or there soon add up!
