Very poor urban planning. Not even any breeze at night when the air supposed to be cooler. All the buildings around Dhaka simply don't allow much ventilation or air flow. Using of concrete without proper planning will cause more heat and flood. Hope the leaders of the nation consider it as climate emergency and take solid action for climate adaptation immediately.
Never gonna happen 🙂

@@kiwi-ke5lz Oh, it will happen someday. Most of us reject your opinion. Time for you to stop being a delulu 🤷🏻♀️
Edward Hew, I was born and raised in Dhaka and I can finally admit the fact : I just HATE living in apartment buildings ! I still don’t understand why people here are so obsessed with apartment buildings, even when the urban planning itself is pretty poor to begin with. It’ll still take more time for our leaders to understand this issue. As long as the outside world won’t put our leaders under international pressure, urban planning here will never come to an improvement like it’s supposed to.
@@afsaramehrin2993ha buildings are sucking up all the oxygen aren't they moron. It's 40 degree outside. We need to plant trees. Ventilation is 4th or 5th priority
Just imagine 10 years from now
Now imagine 50 years from now!
Don’t worry we won’t be here in 50 years. Unless it’s small communities barely hanging on hand to mouth in remote corners of the world. No sea = no life.
It won’t take long now
With these high population numbers of the earth.. I doubt the planet will sustain us that long before, until resources start running out, like water, food, crops, everything will dry up and die, just like us. Nature and evolution will take its course and create a better animal or creature to replace us.
They’ll all be immigrated
We Filipinos are suffering the same ordeal.

0:35: *correction: It's not the monsoon season yet in Bangladesh. It's still summer until June.
Yeah but I think they are talking about kalbaishakhi
You are really Bangladeshi? Mid April may , june 1st half considered summer in Bangladesh. Lol
@@Funny12126 yeah, then what's wrong for questioning me to be Bangladeshi or not?
It’s still not summer here yet ! Just because the temperatures at present are way too high above the average, doesn’t mean “it’s summer”. সামার আসতে আরও দেরি আছে । 🤷🏻♀️
@@afsaramehrin2993 বৈশাখ-জ্যৈষ্ঠ কোন ঋতু?
Our ancestors told us, we have six seasons in our country Bangladesh. But now I'm feeling only summer and winter but very passionate rainy is also irregular on the effect of climate change.
Tbh, the six season notion came from northern Indian tradition. It isn’t necessarily true in this region
@@arta.xshaca although I have little knowledge of climatology yet I appreciate your opinion. But truly i wish we could get these seasons again it would be mesmerising.
@@arta.xshacaNah they are mostly based of the natural changes and agriculture,
The summer is as it is supposed to be ,hot asf
The rainy is hot + heavy rainfall and flood and the environment is shiny
The autum is the season of low heat and dull rain and the month of a special flower"kash"
The late autum is the month of harvesting and abit humid than autum
The winter is winter
The spring is when nature revives itself with all new trees, flowers, leafs etc.
All the people who say 6 seasons doesn't exist anymore are typically living in Dhaka or big city
There is no way bangladesh ever had 6 seasons.

That's heat index and not surface or air temperature unlike in Bangladesh! Heat index and air temperature are not the same!
Bro what you told is "feels like"
Here in Bangladesh the "feels like" temperature is 53° C
We need to help Bangladesh become a better place. May Allah make it easier for them all! Ameen
I blame urban planning. They are still expanding highways
I always get scared while crossing the road and my ears hurt. And cars cause a lot of pollution.
Bangladesh has strong bike culture but urban planners have different plans
What do you mean by "still expanding highways?" Should we stop making them? What is the point of stopping the development of infrastructure?"
its that and the fact nobody has cared about climate change unless it affects them. too bad people will learn in death, i will pray for everybody, i feel hopeless.
@@in_tasin No i said "expanding" There is no reason to have a 12 lane highway in the middle of the city. Ofcourse we will make highways expressways but if we make our whole city impossible to live without a car thats a problem
India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand are having heatwaves
Philippines and Indonesia, too. All countries across Southeast Asia were having heatwave, and it's getting much worse.
Allahu akbar.
May Allah rescue our country and he wider region from heatwave-Ameen ya Rabb al alameen
I come from eastern India where temperature is 45 degree and humanity is 85 percent. But since we have less population and more greenary in the city, it is livable. Fans are enough.

😢😢Thank you very much for highlighting these things, Al Jazeera we have never seen them in the news in Bangladesh
We Bangladeshis are going through these while school is opened.......
Here in India (due to development) majority have access to AC to be the heat . I slept in AC my entire life. We have inverter AC it does not increase electricity bills.
Speaking from Bangladesh, schools, colleges, universities, madrasas are closed in the whole district due to the increase in temperature.
In my area it is 46 degree celsius i am from Dhaka and most of our institutions are closed due to explosive heat waves
On the other hand, the high temperature combined with humidity makes us tolerant to almost all areas where it is hot......
Bangladesh 40°
Sylhet city 28°
Do people in Dhaka knows what cause heatwave?
Do people in Dhaka know Dhaka is a heat trap? What is a heat trap ? Heat trap is where heat gets in and but heat does not go out easily. During daytime , heat gets in from the sun. Everything in the enviroment absorb this heat including buildings, roads , airs, water. Now , by night these significant amount of these consumed heat should have been passed underground or went above the air. But sadly, in Dhaka , the amount of buildings, roads, cars , even the new building materials are not heat friendly. The ground is no longer absorbing the heat and the pollution in the air is blocking the heat inside than going up . On top , the surrounding water bodies producing vapor, is making the air more humid and unbearable. Dhaka heat is not dry heat like deserts, it is moist heat like boiling steam.
Same in Philippines
Here in the Philippines is 48 degree celsus
Rajshahi, Bangladesh is 44.5 degree Celsius
Feels like 46° Celsius
That 48°C in the Philippines is actually heat index and not surface or air temperature! Bangladesh has even higher heat index because their air temperature is already in the mid 40s. You should know that heat index and air temperature are not quite the same!
Over population ,greed ,pollution poverty etc are the main cause
Pray for us🥺🤲🇧🇩

This year will be very hot in everywhere, I think. We directly passed from winter to sort of summer weather without proper spring in Mediterranean soil. So weird. Never seen such weather in april. Maybe many years ago. It is actually scary and alarming…
