Muse strikes again with “Verona.” Though not a new release, I’ve only recently discovered it, and as a die-hard fan who’s attended four Muse concerts, my admiration for their talent knows no bounds. Each live experience has left me in awe, but “Verona” resonated with me on an unexpectedly profound level. From the first note, “Verona” sent me on a deeply personal journey. It’s haunting yet beautiful, merging pain with a sense of resolve in a way that’s both gripping and transformative. Matthew James Bellamy’s songwriting prowess is truly beyond comprehension. His ability to craft songs that feel more like visceral experiences is akin to an intoxicating drug that courses directly through the veins. This song doesn’t just exist as music-it’s an odyssey, and I am absolutely in awe of Bellamy’s genius. 🫠🙌

Man, I like your reactions , and i should thank u indeed... i saw many reacts, and they made me angry. Some of them make jokes with each other and laughing while song is playing. They drink and laugh and kidding...in fact they do everything except listening to the song. can u believe that ? .... If you're listening to Jennifer Lopez or Shakira, that's fine, but when you're listening to real music, it's a crime. but now I've met u ... i see u hear music just like myself , with silence and all continuous ... respecting the real side of music ... especially muse . The album was written during covid/quarantine where relationships felt like Romeo and Juliet " Can we kiss, with poison on our lips " "Can we kiss, contagion on our lips" If you watch the lyrics carefully you will notice that it talks about the pain of not being able to touch, hug, or kiss, our loved ones and not being able to be there for them. I love when Matt does subtle changes through out the lyrics and makes the same verse have a completely different meaning. 1. "Can we kiss, with poison on our lips. Well I'm not scared." One of the lovers thinks if they should kiss, they are not infected but one or both of them may have the virus "poison" on their lips. He/she is not scared but he/she thinks is a more rational decision not to. "They can't stop us now, I won't let you be alone" The Government restrictions are trying to separate them from each other. He/She wont let their partner to be physically alone (either because they live together or they will do quarantine on the same house) 2. "Can we kiss, contagion on our lips. Well I don't care" Both of them caught covid but their lovers is getting worse and has to stay in the hospital he/she thinks if they should kiss before letting her go on the ambulance but their lover doesn't let him/her for him/her not get worst. "They can't stop us now, I won't let you feel alone" he/she cant be with their partner physically on the hospital but through calls and videochats he/she tries to make their partner not to feel alone. In both of these blocks Matt ends them with "Because I need you so" implying that he/she need their partner in their lives they he/she wont be able to survive without them. 2.5. He/She just got a call from the hospital saying her partner is worst and in this conditions he/she is allowed to visit their lover. While he is driving to the hospital thoughts are running through his/her head "You and me, Throw caution to the wind" they weren't careful enough because they were infected "And I will risk everything just to feel the warmth, And the voltage from your skin" he/she doesn't care about covid, restrictions, laws or any other thing he/she just wants to feel theirs partners love and connection "If this is my last day on Earth, I just want to be with you" he/she can get worst and maybe die too but he/she doesn't care "You are all that's true " conspiracies theories, vaccines of death, governments profiting, never ending restrictions, always changing data, safety measurements not protecting... the only real and truthful thing they have is their love for each other 3. I love the song, I love the video. The dancing reminds me of a male bird dancing in front of the female, trying desperately to impress her. This song brings me to tears everytime 😢❤

Oh I really do like a variety...but something radically original always entices me! Especially with MUSE, it seems they can really do whatever style they want and make it work! On my Heaven, you look like someone who would appreciate a bit of rock and all the tunes you've chosen by Muse are not rock. Rock is the primary speciality and on the current album, their best song (in my opinion) is Won't Stand Down.
