I’m jealous of you guys that live near New Melones. I live in New Mexico and was in California in May last year. My relatives took me to New Melones and I tore them up with a Yamamoto swim senko. Can’t wait to get back.

Dang, nice swimbait fish. I caught a 3 pounder on an S-waver on December 23 right before Christmas and I am going somewhere in February, we still haven’t decided yet, but I am definitely going to be crawling a hud. I use the same reel for big swimbaits as you, a daiwa lexa wn 300. Keep up the good work.

I have the same swimbait reel as you, but it makes a screeching sound when I cast it. It’s pretty loud. I got it for Christmas and I’m not sure if it’s suppose to sound like that. I did lube it but it’s still loud. Any idea why ?
Lue Vueee it shouldn’t screech at all. I have heard that they come dry and require a lube before use.
