Aaaaannnnd the one that made me the proudest of the Philippines when you shouted from the mountain top “I love the Philippines!”. That was incredibly heartwarming. This is the best thing about traveling. When your plans become spontaneous. Getting lost, disconnecting, being one with nature and endless views of mountains, sea and sky. Itineraries are great as it divides your time to wherever you want to go. But sometimes, itineraries with guided tours kinda ruins the sense of travel because there is a tendency that you get rushed and always in a hurry whereas spontaneous allows travelers to wander, explore and really venture and savor the moment, the beauty and authenticity of the place. This is evident through their emotions, their reactions to seeing these places. The adventure they had, being lost, being ending up in a quiet spot to view the sunset and being chased by a cow. 😂 There’s always that special feeling of not expecting what to see and explore. Taking the “off the beaten path” route. These are the kinda travels i want to experience. Thank you Mike and Nelly for showing this part of Batanes. It is really something special. 👌🏼

One of your best vlogs indeed! Btw, you guys are actually on Batan Island and not Basco like Mike said! Basco is one of the four municipalities located on Batan Island. Basco also serves as the provincial capital of the Province of Batanes which is composed of 10 islands. Only 3 out of 10 islands are inhabited including Batan, Sabtang and Itbayat which is the biggest in the Batanes Group of Islands!

I'm a die-hard Metro Manilan...but seeing Batanes like I've never seen it before in any vbloggers. You made me teary eyed. So calm, picture perfect, the sunset. Now I know why Ivatan or the locals didn't want outsiders to own land there because we might only ruined the place. Thank you I guess this is my favorite of all your vids.
