@@lolsybyrnecomedy I hope they give/gave you something nicer for your next taping. As far as the "pussy pussy pussy" goes, you have WAY bigger huevos than I would trying that stuff.
It's been a while since the video, but to whoever might be useful: the reason mezcal is mainly produced in Oaxaca is because the name is a protected denomination. By this point you may have deduced that tequila, mezcal and other drinks share almost the same thing in common: they are alcoholic drinks that come from the distilation of agave. But (by law) depending on the region you make the distilation process, the method (with old tools or in a factory) and the plant species you use, you can (or can't) use the name. To call an agave distilation "mezcal" you need to use specific species of agave, (mostly) traditional tools to process the plant and make your process in the designated regions; otherwise you can't use the word "mezcal" in your label. In the present, there is an ongoing debate of what commercial name should be used for the drinks produced with the exact same processes for tequila, mezcal, sotol or bacanora that are made outside the legal designated regions (remember, by mexican law only certain regions can use those name to protect heritage and commerce). "Pussy, pussy... XD" Be proud, according to the official ranking of mexican authorities, Montelobos is one of the three mezcals with the highest alcohol content (only surpassed by two brands: Santa Pedrera and Alipús). It would be fair to say, though, that while it was fun to see them suffering their first encounter with mezcal, there are softer brands; precisely for those who don't want to have their clavicles sweating very early on in the drinking experience XD. There are other mezcal products that softer even more the experience, like "mezcal cream".
@@RobertMrQuez Commercial? The bar i use to work at legitimately had 9 different mezcals higher than 43%, and we were a small bar -- not even a mezcal one. Lol.

Mexican here, I once tried moonshine mezcal. It tasted like a mixture of vodka and tequila but with a deeper fruit aroma and sweet tinge; a tad oily. After the first (and only) chug I went blind for a couple of seconds and felt a punch directly on my brain. My Dad, God bless his souls, told me I wasn't suppossed to drink it neat. 12/10, would try it again.
To see George and Lolsy again, and to hear their commentary, makes this video feel like home. The TRY family is back together once again!!! Yea, Yea, Yeah!!!!
God I love you guys. I laughed till I cried. Tequila will definitely get you. I had my first tequila 5 2 years ago when I was in the Air Force stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix Arizona. Me and three buddies went to Nogales Mexico and brought back Mescal Tequila (with the original real worm in the bottle). THAT WAS AN EXPPERIENCE THAT I'LL NEVER FORGET!
First of all loved the reactions! Funnily enough I just took a class about mezcal so here's a kinda explanation of the mezcals they drank and why they tasted different/answering some of their questions (if anyone cares lol): Fun fact tequila is in fact just a type of mezcal, same as scotch is a type of whiskey, or champagne is a type of sparkling wine Mezcal is a definitely a great alternative to smokey whiskey if you want something a little different to sip, or as Clisare said, it makes a really interesting cocktail. Also mezcal has an iodine/smokey like flavour coming from the type of agave used and the way it was cooked in a clay oven or a dug fire pit The reason the ABV is so specific is because those it shifts slightly from batch to batch because they are an artisanal product and made by hand. 1. was a reposado so makes sense it was softer and less intense than the others because if has been aging in barrels for the longest out out all these and the flavour profile had a chance to mellow out 2. Is probably the most well known mezcal internationally - its also a joven (has been in oak barrels but not for very long at all) so much stronger flavour and more burn and small amount of colour 3. espaldin is just the type of agave they use and is also the most common in fact im pretty sure all of these mezcals are made out of at least some of not completely espaldin. This one is just the blanco or non aged (or joven, I can't say for sure) version of the first one, so stronger flavour but same quality 4. is just ... Montelobos... definitely strong iodine/smoke on this one. lots of flavour
Oh I'm soo happy Lolsy is back! Because her facial expression are hilarious!! Also, if Ciara was there at the shoot, she would absolutely say something like, "Oh..that went down smoooth... it's really nice." And everyone else is trying to breathe probably from drinking this!!
Try Channel has consistently made gloomy days better and good days great. Nice to have Lolsy back!!! So much thanks to all the peeps at The TRY Channel and all TRYers past and present. Much love from California!!!
I would recommend another video with mezcal cocktails, the earthy and smoky flavors go very good with sweet flavors, as they mentioned. In Mexico there is a very traditional well known of preparing a cocktail with Jamaica water, is prepared like a tea with jamaica dried flowers, or even something more sweet like a mango cocktail with mezcal, nice to see a Mexican drink being "enjoyed" (haha) by other people around the world!
Another triumph lol - I love the way Clisare & George just genuinely amuse each other. Paddy & Niall should definitely hit the pubs together; they were terrific counterparts. Aidan has really settled into the "famility" & kept pace beautifully with the wonder that is Lolsy (God she is SO much fun), both in drinking and in humor. Great video!

Every time Clisare mentioned lemons I was like “Wait, do they not have LIMES in Ireland?!” 🍋🤯 Also, Lolsy’s facial expressions, especially while Aidan is just ignoring her and giving his opinion, were absolutely hilarious!!! 😂🤪
I think they probably didn't have limes in Ireland about 30-40 years ago when people first started figuring the tequila thing out, so they used lemons instead and that just became the standard. There's more South and Central Americans in Ireland (particularly Dublin) now so the cocktails are much more accurate these days
I know I'm super late and probably someone already mentioned it but just as tequila goes with lemon and salt, mezcal pairs with wedges of orange and worm salt. Sip away, it's lovely!
Tequila specifically comes from the state of Jalisco in Mexico, the same way real champagne is made in France only. Mezcal is a broad term for alcohol made from agave plants, mainly the blue agave.
When Lolsy said Mezcal is a type of Tequila, she had it backward. Tequila is a type of mezcal. Tequila must be made from blue agave (& only blue agave).
All Tequilas are a type of Mezcal but all Mezcals are not tequila. The clear or blanco tequila is the shortest aged, the gold is blanco with Carmel color added... a rip off, the next is reposado, then anejo, with anajo regular and extra and the extra you sip like fine wine.
There's a lot of misconceptions about Mezcal, most people seem to think its just "cheap Tequila" when in reality, Tequila is a specific type of Mezcal. All Mezcal is made from agave, but Tequila is made specifically from Blue Agave and from specific regions of Mexico (mostly Jalisco but there's a couple other areas that count but I don't remember them off the top of my head) so you can actually have Blue Agave Mezcal that is NOT Tequila. So yes there is some nasty, rot-gut Mezcal out there but there's also some very fine Mezcals (and there's more variety with Mezcal than with just Tequila since Tequila is so specific).
@@samiam619 I'm going to guess that either a dive bar, college frat party, or spring break in Mexico was involved. You should find an upscale bar or Mexican restaurant that does tastings and try that. Find someplace that knows the difference between the good stuff ad the gut rot.
@matty d It all started around the turn of the century, when physicists were ready to wrap up their work in a bow and declare to the world that everything knowable is now known, only to find out they couldn't answer the question, "Why do ovens glow orangish red?"
Oh sweet Jesus, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time from one of these vids!!! Such great reactions, especially from the pairing of Lolsy and Aidan.
Lolsy is BACK!!! finally the alcohol try episodes are back to 4 stars again! "Faith and begorrah what a pleasure it tis to see such a fine broth of a lass the likes of which I've not seen in years! how do ye do how do ye do?!"
Tequila is technically a type of Mezcal, but Tequila is only made from Blue Agave and is steam baked. Where Mezcal can be made from any kind of Agave, and is smoked in underground pits instead of steam ovens, hence the smoky peaty flavor. Mezcal is more of an acquired taste because of the smokeyness. Kind of like Scotch Whisky. I personally prefer the Añejo Mezcals because the oaky flavors from the barrel aging mellows the smokey flavor.
I would add that, due to the Origin Designation, Tequila can only be made in the State of Jalisco around the Tequila region, and mezcal can can only be made in 9 states with Oaxaca being the largest producer. Producers in other states call mezcal, Destilado de Agave.
Irish people are one of my favorite people on earth even if they don't like our mezal. I just love their attitude. They are so fun to be around with. Love form CDMX

Also, Lolsy’s facial expressions, especially while Aidan is just ignoring her and giving his opinion, were absolutely hilarious!!! 😂🤪
When I lived in the UK for 4 years it was always lemons. I don’t know what they never had limes.
I think they probably didn't have limes in Ireland about 30-40 years ago when people first started figuring the tequila thing out, so they used lemons instead and that just became the standard. There's more South and Central Americans in Ireland (particularly Dublin) now so the cocktails are much more accurate these days
Yes, I was wondering that as well, what happened to a lick of salt & sucking the lime after ? Hmmm 🤔
They dont like limes because it's green... 🤔😬🤣
I am so tickled to see Lolsy! I was just thinking about her the other day! The queen of belch is back! Now we need to pair her with Dermot!
Hilarious! Lolsy and George were so funny. Welcome back!
I am so excited to see Lolsy in try videos again!!!
I know I'm super late and probably someone already mentioned it but just as tequila goes with lemon and salt, mezcal pairs with wedges of orange and worm salt. Sip away, it's lovely!
you mean BAD CHEAP TEQUILA.. good tequila is delicious just as it is
@@shiroumxm2052yes but it still doesn't take away from the fact that they pair together.
I love all the tryers, but Lolsy is the reason I subscribed, so having her back is quite a treat!
Very happy to see George and Laura back on. I've missed them.
Lolsy. Be respectful.
Great to see Lolsy back and her reactions to things she TRYs!!
So glad to see Lolsy again, missed her reactions and hilarious comments
YAY I’ve been waiting for Lolsy to come back!! Started to think she was staying away or behind the scenes, missed her in the alcohol videos!!!
I love watching lolsy's reaction to every drinks
It is sooooooooooooooooo good to see Lolsy and George back!! It's like seeing family after a long trip!!
I am so glad LOLSY Is back!!! I forgot how much she makes me laugh!!!
George. I just finally realized You have a great, even wicked, almost dry British sense of humor. Enjoying it! Shalom.
Good to see Lolsy again, such animation, such awesome expression!
Hahahaha! I have missed Lolsy's wonderful facial expressions so damn much. This video was gold.
I must have had the nasty stuff the ONE AND ONLY time I had Mezcal. Like the Holocaust, “Never Again”!
@matty d naw, I only stick to useful subjects like alcohol and Star Trek trivia.
Oaxaca is very interesting place to visit for Mezcal almost every building there is a distillery for Mezcal.
Oh sweet Jesus, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time from one of these vids!!! Such great reactions, especially from the pairing of Lolsy and Aidan.
Lolsy’s reactions are everything. Love her! 😆❤️
I love Lolsy reactions. She is so cute and funny 🤣🤣🤣. She did a whole transformation 💕💕💕 bring her back more often.
I know I’m probably late to the party but I’m so glad Lolsy is back. She is my spirit animal 🤍
Lolsy is BACK!!! finally the alcohol try episodes are back to 4 stars again! "Faith and begorrah what a pleasure it tis to see such a fine broth of a lass the likes of which I've not seen in years! how do ye do how do ye do?!"
I always enjoy Clisare's company, but George seems to bring out the most good cheer in her---great pairing!
You nailed that, even though usually mezcal is quite sweeter than tequila.
i don't drink añejos because i like to taste the OG destilled taste, with añejos it seems to me im just paying for the wood taste.
So technically it’s not the same after that whole list of differences 😂
I would add that, due to the Origin Designation, Tequila can only be made in the State of Jalisco around the Tequila region, and mezcal can can only be made in 9 states with Oaxaca being the largest producer. Producers in other states call mezcal, Destilado de Agave.
Irish people are one of my favorite people on earth even if they don't like our mezal. I just love their attitude. They are so fun to be around with. Love form CDMX
