Good stuff Mikey, you’re the one who got me into flipping jigs. I tried it one time casting to some tall stalks off shore thinking it wasn’t gonna work. Next thing you know, those stalks started twitching like crazy and something heavy pushed toward my jig then wham! It was back to back all day, my friends and I couldn’t believe it 🤯 Thanks for all you do
The timing if this is so perfect just started learning punching and flipping since I moved to florida 2 years ago . Slowly been learning different techniques .
Hey man loved the video .. I’m just starting out on my fishing journey and RUclips.. I live 20 minutes from Guntersville been out there 3 times no success .. I wanna say thank you man ! This video cleared up so much for me ! And if you’re ever willing to link up and fish man it would be a honor to pick your brain I’d even pay ! First time see your videos imma subscribe for sure 💪🏽 keep catching !
I had that same surgery 3 month before a muskie trip up to Northwoods of Wisconsin. Against doctors orders caught my only muskie of my life . Probably put my recovery back some but worth it.
Thanks for the Video. I really like the Science like info on different types of skirt/ bait type riggings to have to single out what Ole Mama Bass is looking for.
I had that surgery last August. Three complete tears with retraction plus a partial tear on the 4th plus upper bi-cept detached. I fished my 1st derby the middle of October.
Hey there just wondering if a 7’7 heavy rod rated 3/8-1 oz would be capable of punching maybe 10 days of the year, I would use it for other things aswell.
I punch and pitch in and around elephant ear pads alot in NY , i tend to loose alot of fish in them bc if the hook point gets into one of the stalks it like throwing an anchor out. Idc what braid you have on , youre not freeing the bait and the fish usually uses that stuck hook as leverage to free itself off . Its very frusturating
That little "snell kick" is killer - wild how that hook flings out when you put pressure on it. Dang!
No question. I need to get better at pitchin' into mats. Good vid!
another awesome video. If a fella keeps Mikeybalzz and Tactical Bassin on the playlist, he will learn all the juice he will ever need.
Yep. And spend every penny he makes! 😅😅😅
@@darkhorsefive0 it's definitely expensive, but I enjoy buying tackle, rods and gear as much as I enjoy fishing. It's all part of the deal.
@@brandonhavis8526 oh I agree 100%! 👊😎
Bro these are almost the only ones I watch. Been following tactical for years now. Cool you mentioned them

That right there is the best feeling in the world
One of my favorite videos. Hoping we will still have vegetation here in Florida when they are done with their war on Hydrilla.
Great tips. Heading to okeechobee Sunday for a week!
You were absolutely on fire with excitement in this video Mikey ❤
Enjoyed you getting back to flipping old school! Great technique Mike!❤️

Those mats by rip rap banks are juicy. I'm ready for another trip up there.

Really appreciate it man only a few more inches to go we'll see if we can't squeeze by that 100k
Another incredible video bro🙌🏼🎣! Thank you for your knowledge - you save me so much time on the water 👍🏻
🤙
One of my favorite ways to fish, although we don’t have a lot of opportunities here in indiana
Just nothing like that punch bite!! 🤤🤤

Mikey has videos with SMC from way back, looking forward to some more!
Would love to see some punching action with a Tokyo rig. Haven't seen that style in a while 🤔

@@mikeybalzz I appreciate all of that brotha 💪🏽
You are Killing ME!!! I’m laid recovering from rotator cuff and Bicep Tendon tear surgery and you out sticking pigs!? 😤🤷🏻♂️😂😂😂🎣
Well, once you heal, fishing should be a good therapy rotator cup. BTW, get well soon. Fall is coming.
Get better man!

One of the most thrilling techniques there is. Never know what's hiding.
You nailed it, you get the bite set the hook and half the time you don't know if it is a 2 lb or a 7 pounder

I'll vouch... I saw you the other day almost on Highway 79 and it was hot as balzz! 😂

Man there’s not a lot of punching grass around my area I have found some and it’s so much fun.

What are the weights you had on . Size wise. Looks like G ville
1 oz, 1.25, and 1.5 hawg tech and flat out tungsten
When Mikey talks about punching, the people LISTEN!
I don’t know why but in my local lake when I’m punching the bass only ever bite on the initial fall. I can yo yo it all day and never get a bite
As hard as that little bay gets hit you'd think we'd wear them fish out
Did you ever used a "Tokyo Rig"? Is It any good for these techniques?
Bro just put the juice out there no mat is safe now LOL
In my opinion, he's one of the best at it
Hey Mikey I lost your number
