    I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all you crazies that helped me reach 100,000 subs.
    This is far from my first attempt at RUclips -- it’s more like the 5th (a story for another time) -- and it’s all a little unbelievable. I’ve always been totally obsessed with the platform and never stopped trying to find my place on it. And now, here we are- I’m no longer a disappointment to my family! And it’s all thanks to you! But, truly, thank you.
    Also, check out DailyDunkaccino if you can. They’re planning on closing the account in a month (mid July 2021), so show ‘em some love before it’s too late.

    It’s really interesting, because although you can certainly see movies selling out artistic merit with product placement, with the James Bond franchise it’s actually always been a part of it - the Ian Fleming novels would always mention Bond’s choice of Gordon’s gin, his Bentley 4 1/2 litre and his brand of cigarettes. It’s actually very immersive, maybe a little hammier in the films but still interesting nonetheless.

    • @courier6960
      @courier6960 3 года назад +27

      Actually, there is no actual scientific evidence that subliminal advertising actually works (and advertising that is directly subliminal is banned, here in the US at least).
      The problem with a lot of this advertising is that the brain isn’t even processing most of it on a subconscious level, often times it’s so off the center of attention people don’t even see the object in question, much less the brand associated with it. Subliminal advertising and advertising in general is not very useful for very expensive and life changing products (cars, mortgage companies, etc.) as MOST people don’t buy these products on a whim, they do so after intrinsically evaluating the reasons behind these particular decisions. Advertising only really is useful when it tackles immediate biological wants and needs (such as food, its one of the few kinds of TV advertisements that actually work).

    Someone once told me that ads don't affect them. We tend to buy products that are familiar to us. Advertising makes them very familiar to us.

    • @joeybaseball7352
      @joeybaseball7352 3 года назад +5

      Everything is an ad though. The music you listen to is an ad for that artist. The show you watch is an ad for that actor. And celebrities are paid to wear certain clothes in public. The sneakers you see a rapper wearing, a company paid them thousands of dollars to wear them. I found this out when I heard that Reebok had fired and sued Rick Ross for wearing Nikes. I had no idea that Rick Ross even worked for Reebok, as he was never in any of their ads, and campaigns. Heck, the stuff they show on the TVs at bars and restaurants are paid for. I once asked a guy at a restaurant if he could change to channel, because I had wanted to see a particular program, and he said that they couldn't, because the channel they had it on paid the restaurant to keep it on that channel.

    • @I_WANT_MY_SLAW

      Some ads are so effective, they have adverse effects. There are some things I refuse to buy, because I have a negative connotation to an ad that they play over, and over, and over again. Or even worse, you become the Nationwide Insurance superbowl ad. The one where the kid never has his first kiss because he died. That was bad for them. Or the Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad.

You could do one on film set lingo. “This is not a clothes pin; it’s a c47. And this is not a shot; it’s a martini.” Lotta weird shut with movie making and Hollywood so I’m sure you have plenty of ideas. But seriously if you can do one same quality once a month at least I’m sure you could get to a million subs easy. Your voice and narration are perfect (intonation, pace) and you’re funny without being annoying. That’s huge. So please make more man. But also, if a company doesn't pay, and their product is used (particularly in an unsavory fashion) that company will sue. Which is why you have so many fake brands in movies and TV. and its getting even crazier now with NFTs, because then they will sue over copyright infringement.
