Nice video David! How about a follow up later in the season showing how the crop worked out? I sure you'll be closely tracking the harvest.

Mineral tubs work great if you're in an area with a lot of beef cattle. Farmers are usually throwing them away or burning them with brush or about anything to try to get rid of them. Those big 250 lb mineral tubs are huge.

You’re very welcome. If you remember, come back after your harvest and let us know how you did!
Spring is an exciting time. So many projects, so little time!

One way to make a straight line around the barrel is to fix the marker onto something at the height you want to cut the barrel and then spin the barrel around to mark it.

A thought just came to me when talking about the tomatoes, i wonder if you can snip off a potato stem like with tomatoes and root another plant without the bulk of the seed potato?

Something makes me think that it wouldn’t work. Otherwise, why wouldn’t nurseries sell you six packs of potato plants? I am intrigued, though! Are you going to try it this year?

I think i followed the package. Can’t exactly recall. Mine had sufficient room, I think, but the sun was not great in my location, so i stopped trying to grow a garden. :-(

I am moving to the Philippines in a couple of months and potatoes are hard to find and they are expensive.. since I come from a family of farmers I would just grow my own but I am looking for a container way to grow potatoes and yellow onions.. do you think I can grow yellow onions in the same way? Thanks 👍👍 I just found your channel and I just subscribed and I will be checking out all of your videos..🤗😎👍🥂

Hello and thanks for your kind words! I have not tried to grow yellow onions in this way, but I tend to think it would not work as well. Sometimes the fun of gardening is the experimentation, though! If you try it, please let me know how it worked for you!

Seeing as I dug potatoes at a farm. Last year for twenty bucks and I saved enough. And I can get all these materials for free.
It won't cost me a dime. Hhahahaha hah.
It'll pay for itself easily from last year but I do want to get one youkon golds I only saved reds.
Russets are cheap at restraunt depot and I rarely use those anyway
Golds make a great French fry done properly
