Do you have to pay custom of you bring things in your suitcase on the plane? I was thinking about checking in a luggage with kitchen stuff in it, including a small Toaster-oven...

I would say bring any specialty appliances with you. (special blender if there is one you really love, food processor, etc...) Also, a nice fry pan! Otherwise, the rest can be purchased here. But for better quality and better prices on those other items, I would bring them.
Being a large man, I have found it difficult to find my size pants, I am 6'5" at 44 waist and 32 inseam. I have purchased new pants through Amazon but they haven't arrived yet. Been 3 weeks now, what's the hold up?
When I purchase from amazon, I always go via the website Aeropost.com I ordered some items and they arrived within a week without issue to the aeropost office here in Jaco. There are multiple offices located all over the country.
i shipped a car part by u.s. postal the parts cost $65 the shipping was $90..when my step son went to pick it up the costa rica post office customs opened it it and wanted $100 dollars, my step son called me and i called their post master people and told them to ship it back here ...screw that...seems corruption and b.s. is everywhere...be careful...we also ship a lot of stuff to wifes family in sarchi using Barquero services..never ever had an issue..thousands of dollars worth of stuff every year...
I from Costa Rica and live in Canada. You Info is misleading . It is something similar but No no boy stop lying . It goes to offices and they estimate it ( it might be expensive but it is what it is) it is not a single person in the corner of somewhere charging you whatever he wants as you say…
I don't knnow much about guns but as far as I know you need to get a CR gun permit and that includes atest of usage of a fire arm and psicological evaluation. But Im pretty sure there going to question why you want to bring long rifles if all type of hunting is illegal in CR.

No you do not need to pay extra for those items brought via your suitcase on the plane.

I do know of others who have shared containers together. That would be a good question for Pablo to answer.
