Phlip, you are a very talented artist! I absolutely love pistriping at the level of expertise you have. When I was in high school in the 70's custom pinstriping was the ultimate finishing touch on everything. I had a specil love for it on motorcycles with "candy" finishes and pinstripes that either blended in seamlessly with the paint or really stood out like silver on candy apple red. You are not only extremely talented, but also very humble and attentive to what your CLIENT wants. There is no room for error at the level of work you do. You don't get "do-overs" if you make a mistake on a vehicle that has taken years to get to the point to where it is ready for pinstripes. Your soft voice, pleasant personality, and attention to your clients' wishes make you an exceptional artist in the true sense of the word. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. This is the first video of yours that I have seen and I immediately subscribed to your channel. Best wishes for continued success, You do fantastic work which anyone would be proud of. Kindest regards from a super fan in Arkansas ! 😊❤
That is great work buddy. I would be nervous as hell when other people are around talking and carrying on. You definitely have a lot of talent. God bless keep up the good work
Flannel Man , good work indeed my friend . The choice of colors with interior and the ol Cummins beige is brilliant. You do great work Brother. Thanks for sharing .
I would be SCARED mindless to own a Pete like that! I have a 99 freightshacker classic that's been in the shop for a month getting a new steer axle and springs and new hood because a Pam driver ran over the front end in a J parking lot! It would have killed me if my truck looked like that and the same thing happened!
Nice clean work Philip! I'm just kind of getting into the whole striping world here and had a few questions.. I see you used the alphanamel paints. I actually picked some of them up also. 1 Do you prefer them to 1shot or do you use both? 2 what do you wipe the paint down with to prep it for striping? 3 what are you thinning your paint with? 4 what did you wipe off the design with that you didn't like? Thanks a bunch
You need to work on your layout and lettering. That comes with practice and years. Start making some pounce patterns you can use any fonts and blow them to size until you improve and create your own style, it will only make you look better. Just some advice from an old signdog. Keep on truckin!
Unfortunately you can’t run DEF trucks and have the stacks stay clean, they stain because of it. Once you get some of your rigs painted, you should find someone down there to do pinstriping on them!!!
