Spider Carnage is such an awesome character in the animated series. The moment where he meets Uncle Ben and realises all the wrong he’s done is beautiful.
The entire thing is brilliantly crafted. Spidey's final villain is himself. He doesn't beat the final villain by punching him, he beats him by showing him compassion and understanding. And they manage to perfectly tie in the multiverse element: this universe HAS Uncle Ben. The wrap up was done perfectly.
I was suprised you didnt mention the evil CEO Peter Parker from Edge of Time. Wolf Spider's design is clearly inspired by him and him playing mind games with Spider Man 2099 until Miguel actually surpasses him in combat while throughout the game the 616 Spidey keeps saying how Miguel doesnt understand what the title of Spider Man means was a story I always thought needed to be put into the comic canon. Plus, Atrocity looks downright horrifying. Seriously, I once had a nightmare about him as a kid.
Don't forget the female spiderman who has a sword. Her name is spiderb*tch. She's evil as well. The girl cut Wilson fisk head off. Not just little THE WHOLE FRIGGIN HEAD!!!😳
Gwen being a normal human who gets her powers from her suit is actually pretty in-line with how Gwen actually operated in her comics at the time. She had her powers absorbed by her universe's Silk and thus resorted to wearing the Venom Symbiote and eventually learned to control it enough to turn it into a perfect replica of her suit. As far as I know she still uses Venom to this day rather than her own powers. I never would have expected Ultimate Spider-Man of all shows to be that accurate beyond the stuff that is common knowledge about Gwen, so it was funny learning that they kept that consistent with the comics.
There's quite a few cases where usm is accurate about somewhat obscure things from the comics, but ofc since they're obscure things and a lot of people already have a bias, oftentimes people jump to "yet another terrible creative decision" :/
I actually like the idea of a spider replying purely on their suit, sort of an extension of what peter did with his webshooters, but now they don't have the added benefit of natural powers and have to completely rely on what they can create.
CEO Peter Parker from Edge of Time is still the best evil version of Spider-man, hand down. With how minimal his screen time, he is just godly characterized and his dark impulses align wonderfully with main Peter's struggle.

He still wanted to do good by bringing back everyone and everything he’s lost to create one perfect timeline where nothing bad will ever happen and if he can keep from it, he’ll get rid of crime completely. I think the reasoning to why Wolf Spider's defeat was easy cause Wolf Spider didn't realize, until Spidey worked it out, that Wolf Spider was stealing the life energy from GOOD Spidermen and as a result was poisoning his body with said good energy. Spidey and the Spidermen had to play the waiting game until Wolf Spider's body got so poisoned that it began to break and shatter apart effectively destroying the Evil Spiderman for good and allowing the life force of the Spidermen to return to their bodies easily. Peter Parker has always been a representation in the Spiderverse for good and responsibility and a staple for other Spidermen to follow so for the Spiderverse to have one bad apple in Wolf Spider, it was as if the Spiderverse was dealing with the threat with a way that uses Wolf Spider's lust for power as a means to to destroy him and restore balance in the Spiderverse.
Yeah i think it was more of a "just a bit more will push him over the edge" thing than an "i'll let him get me so we can fight back from the inside" thing
5:34 Edge of Time also had an evil Peter Parker without any redeeming qualities. But he was more of a generic evil business man villain, and not really a super aggressive one

I love these episodes of return two the spider-verse, while the idea of a evil peter parker isn't particularly mind blowing. I love how you made two, videos on ultimate spider-man episodes you atcually like Xavier has character development.
5:34 So, even that Spider-Man had his redeeming qualities. He sends out Punisher to save his human wife in exchange for keeping a population of immune survivors alive, and makes good on that deal when Frank pulls through. The only reason it falls through is because Frank is too comfortable with his war on the cannibals to leave well enough alone, and kills him.
I think as far as the Earth 616 Spider-Man is going I think we're about to see the very birth of Wolf Spider, and for very good reason, and I find it funny that the three evil Peter Parker Spider-Man are all stages of his life, Wolf Spider, teenager, Spider Carnage, adult, Alchemex CEO, elderly.
There IS a Cowboy Spider-man in comics, his actual name is Patrick O'Hara and he is from Earth-31913. He have horse called Widow and they have a mental connection, because Widow got bitten by same spider as Patrick O'Hara. His "Uncle Ben" is his brother Ben O'Hara.
if they bring back wolf spider he should get a redesign of some kind. i like the hooded cloak/poncho thing or whatever it's called he's got going on, but the grey skin, red creepypasta eyes and mask aren't my favourite thing. also maybe wolf spider was their spectacular spiderman adaptation? since yknow 4-arms and not too nice?
I find it funny that the Cowboy Spidey, the one Spider-Man who never had a "canon event", is a part of Spider-Man 2099's little Spider-Club in Across The Spider-Verse.
There's a Spider-Man called Spiders-Man who is a thousand spiders that ate Peter Parker and now think they are Peter. There's also Patton Parnel, a psychopath who used to burn ants before he got his powers. He murders and cannibalizes his own abusive uncle and school bully, before abducting and assaulting his MJ, while slowly transforming into a spider-monster. He's thankfully killed by Morlun, but not before biting MJ, which leads to a final panel where we learn he laid eggs in that bite, leading to a bunch of baby spiders emerging from neck in pure nightmare fuel. There's also a Spider-Man who is Norman Osborn.
Spider-Carnage is far superior because we learn about him and how much of a huge tragic that he went through then when he learns that he was a clone he finally snap and is about to kill Ben Reilly, and thus creating Spider-Carnage. While Wolf-Spider just sucked because he's just evil and that's it.
Story from when this was new. The ads for this arc spoiled Wolf Spider would be an evil Peter Parker. They showed his face. They obscured the rest of the context, but boy was that frustrating...
I'm shocked that Marvel has no evil mirror universe. I want Incel Peter Parker who gaslights Mary Jane and a Thanos that just encourages people to recycle and use alternative fuels.
Honestly, I feel like Wolf Spider was a waste of a very cool concept. His predecessors, Spdier-Carnage from the ‘90s series and CEO Peter from Edge of Time, were very well-done, but part of that was because we actually got their backstories. But with Wolf Spider, we got…nothing, really. We know why Spider-Carnage and CEO Peter are evil, but Wolf Spider seems to be evil just because and that’s a sucky explanation. If you’re going to make an evil alternate version of a good guy character, you need to give an explanation as to why that version ended up that way.
Christopher Daniel Barnes is always great to hear as Spidey, I grew up with him but mainly on a DVD with the big wheel episode and some re-runs. but it was still my favorite spider-man show despite it extreme corniness in its writing
I love that cowboy uncle ben moon knight wears glasses under his moon knight mask and its not noticeable when he has the mask on. I can't even wear masquerade masks over my glasses, much less a full head covering mask
You gotta give Christopher Daniel Barnes credit. Even when the material isn’t great, he still gives it his all.

Earth 51412 is still my favorite evil Peter even though it barely lasts. Great story and a cool alternate story, Patton Parnel
I still feel bad for that spider carnage in tas, he lost his aunt may and found out he might be the clone. That'd drive any peter nuts.
I like Wolf Spider's Hooded design and how he stands as the mysterious villain in the background, then the story became about him
I think as far as the Earth 616 Spider-Man is going I think we're about to see the very birth of Wolf Spider, and for very good reason, and I find it funny that the three evil Peter Parker Spider-Man are all stages of his life, Wolf Spider, teenager, Spider Carnage, adult, Alchemex CEO, elderly.
I don't think wolf spider is a teenager
Wow Godzilla Mendoza really been spoiling us with the amount of uploads recently
When these episodes came out his name and backstory hadn't been revealed, though, so that wasn't a deliberate change on usm's part
*We don't talk about Chasm.*
Wooooooooo two spiderman videos in a row now thats awesome gotta say this we're eating good tonight
5:27
I had an action figure on that Spider-man (Spider armor). When he showed op on screen I was floored.
if they bring back wolf spider he should get a redesign of some kind. i like the hooded cloak/poncho thing or whatever it's called he's got going on, but the grey skin, red creepypasta eyes and mask aren't my favourite thing.
also maybe wolf spider was their spectacular spiderman adaptation? since yknow 4-arms and not too nice?
YES 2 UPLOADS I AM EXITED. also the concept of this video is very interesting and such a fun topic
5:35
I don't know if he counts, what with him having a different name and all, but there was Patton Parnell, A.K.A Spider-Monster.
There's also a Spider-Man who is Norman Osborn.
finally a video that doesnt always shit on the on spiderman show i grew up with
Spider-Carnage is far superior because we learn about him and how much of a huge tragic that he went through then when he learns that he was a clone he finally snap and is about to kill Ben Reilly, and thus creating Spider-Carnage. While Wolf-Spider just sucked because he's just evil and that's it.
Mendoza video back to back? Holy shit 💀
I really hope to see Spider-Carnage’s return someday
He was a really great villain for a multiverse story
It was also very similar to the spider wars having an evil version of Peter be the final villain. But Spider Carnage was much more effective imo
Finally Xavier uploads after all these years
Vampire king Lizard is an awesome character even his design is cool. And then there is the aesthetic of that dimension that epic.
3:07 I wish they didn’t kill off Noir Mary Jane
Didn't one video game with Spider-Man 2099 revel the head of Alchemax to be a corrupted Peter Parker? I would have guessed that.
I loved how young Ben frl look like the old animated Spider-Man series
I wish we could’ve a Spider-Man who Laughs kind of character
Honestly I'd love for Wolf Spider to appear again. He'd be fantastic.
finally my cold has been satiated by not only one, but 2 new godzillamendoza videos
7:08 spider Gwen with her hood down is like the most unnatural looking thing
Honestly, I feel like Wolf Spider was a waste of a very cool concept. His predecessors, Spdier-Carnage from the ‘90s series and CEO Peter from Edge of Time, were very well-done, but part of that was because we actually got their backstories. But with Wolf Spider, we got…nothing, really. We know why Spider-Carnage and CEO Peter are evil, but Wolf Spider seems to be evil just because and that’s a sucky explanation. If you’re going to make an evil alternate version of a good guy character, you need to give an explanation as to why that version ended up that way.
Nothing beats the spider wars which is the original spider verse that aired. Every one just likes the spider verse now because of certain spiders.
4:20 they later did that for her in the comics by giving her a version of venom
6:26 if you look under ultimate spider-mans arm you can see spectacular spider-man.
Christopher Daniel Barnes is always great to hear as Spidey, I grew up with him but mainly on a DVD with the big wheel episode and some re-runs. but it was still my favorite spider-man show despite it extreme corniness in its writing
As funny as Wolf Spider being the X-23 of Spider-Man media would be, I doubt it
Spectacularly diabolical
I think Ultimate spiderman would fit well into across the spiderverse
He was in there though, just voiceless because of the situation with Drake Bell.
I hope that spiderman beyond the spiderverse will be an entertaining story and won't be a flop
Don't forget spiderb*tch.
She cut the kingpin's head clean off
With a sword and never regretted it.
I feel Wolf-Spider should have a miniseries so we can see his backstory on why he became a villain.
HE UPLOADED TWICE IN 2 DAYS
Imagine if Evil Spider Man was Bitten by a Different Animal and Going With The Wolf
Naming He Would Become The Horrific Wolf-Man
if he thinks this is crazy just wait until he watches across the spider-verse
I love Wolf spider he's so cool and he has so much potential.
I Think Wolf-Spiders design is a bit of a nod to Morlun the original villain of the comics given his red eyes and gray skin.
5:40 There's also the one that's a colony of sentient impregnating spiders
4:40 or like Jet LI in The One, that's the same plot from that movie
The unraveling spiderman is pretty damn nutty.
Oh how they used this for across the spider verse
I love that cowboy uncle ben moon knight wears glasses under his moon knight mask and its not noticeable when he has the mask on. I can't even wear masquerade masks over my glasses, much less a full head covering mask
