In terms of lore, the primes are the "original" design. The narrator is the one who created them. The normal warframes were mass produced for the war and the ones we use. Mechanically the primes get a minimal stat boost. Gauss prime has 105 more shield and 0.1 more speed. Primes also come with one or more polarity slot
Primes are more like the peak of a frame, as the name implies it’s their “prime”. Some frames, such as revenant, earned their prime status but started as a regular frame
@@bongotoucan7913revenant was a bad example lol, canonically speaking Revenant Prime shouldnt exist, Ballas himself says as much "What fatherless abbreation is this? In game different between prime and normal: 1. In orokin tile, prime got 250 energy when they get close to death orb (golden ball shooting laser) 2. Baro Ki'teer (void trader) will treat us amicably when we use prime.
3. All prime warframes have at least an additional mod polarity and one or two small statistical buffs to their base armor, health, shields, sprint speed or energy; 4. Some primes have different visuals to their abilities.
I don't see anyone mentioning that Grendel is designed after a classic japanese Oni, basically a ogre-demon creature. He even has a club like the onis (they have those long studded rod clubs)! You can also notice the horns on his head!
Prime Warframes aside from esthetics receive increased Health, Shield, Armor, Energy levels. and Sprint speed. They don’t get all of these mind you they typically get increases to whatever they’re best at. A frame that specializes in having health and armor will generally get upgrades to those things. A frame that is great for shields will most of the time not get a health upgrade. If they do its usually a super insignificant upgrade while the thing they are actually for gets the proper upgrade. Gauss Prime specifically gets 95 more shield and.5 more sprint speed which may not sound like much but has a great bonus to when modded. Example. With regular Gauss i have him at 2.38 sprint speed. With only receiving a .5 increase, when i put the exact same build on Prime it goes from 2.38 to 2.55 sprint which is a nice increase. As for shields they recently released a prime Shield mod which gives Gauss Prime crazy shields. Instead of having 1,554 on my regular Gauss my Prime has 1,820 pretty nice difference of 266 more shields.
The differences between stats are not huge, though, which I like. You don't feel forced as a player to get the prime version of a frame just for the stats like you would if the stat upgrade was massive. 266 more shields *sounds* huge, but it quickly becomes overshadowed by other defense measures in higher level content in which your shields can get one-shot, so it doesn't make regular base Gauss irrelevant which is nice. In the end, getting the prime is mostly for the much more important fashion drip.

Prime Warframes are basically the same as their regular counterparts. Some of their stats are slightly higher, and they have an extra polarity (which is usually good for upgrading). As for these differences making the warframe better than the regular version, that depends on the META tactics and your preferred playstyle. For example, some Prime warframes have higher shield values than normal versions, which was considered a downgrade until the recent changes to shields and the META, and now the additional shields either don't matter or are an upgrade compared to normal frame depending on your build. Prime weapons, however, may have some additional, unique abilities on top of better stats. Some Prime weapons also don't have proper non-prime counterparts. For example Dakra Prime is a sword, and the closest non-prime counterpart are Dex Dakra, which are twin blades. Another example is Gotva Prime (hitscan rifle with a unique ability) and Aeolak (projectile rifle with a secondary fire mode) which function completely differently despite being versions of the same weapon lorewise. Euphona Prime, Reaper Prime are completely unique. Even slight stat changes can matter a lot on Warframe. That's because most mods give +X% values to a stat, instead of a flat number value, so the higher the original stat, the more effective the mod is. For example if a regular weapon has a 10% crit chance, while Prime variant has 20%, then with a Critical Deplay mod (+200% crit chance) the normal rifle will have (10% + 10% x 2) 30% crit chance total, and Prime will have (20% + 20% x 2) 60%. Obviously enough a very significant difference, especially because mods in warframe are mean't to combo off of eachother.

yeah the only things that are different between Gauss Prime and Gauss is 95 more shields and .1 more sprint speed. If you want to play a game where you are literal speed and death, get Metal Gear Rising. If you want a game that messes with time and thus speed, try Quantum Break.
SuperHot is kind of a superspeed game, or I guess more like time slow/stop game, things move only when you move so you can slice things and bullets from the air, do some cool trick shots, it's a pretty cool game.
Mainly Primes are only Aesthetic upgrades, allows to do a lot more with tenno-gen skins, otherwise some have huge upgrades, actually. There are some quality of life upgrades, such as sprintspeed, bigger shields, health or armor, but some get a pretty hefty upgrade, like Max energy, which can have insane boosts to energy-costly builds. Gauss prime has like, 7.5% more sprint-speed, which is great for him, and his shields got 100 extra hitpoints, so actually pretty good considering his passive buffs the shield-ability. Got him in the forge, now i can wait another 30 hours :)))
The game mechanical difference of Prime Warframes is that they get 2-3 of their base stats increased, depending on each frame of course, aswell as the new Prime Skin, and some free polarized mod slots which makes it easier to mod the frame without using as much Forma. Gauss Prime indeed is faster though. Regular Gauss has 1.4 base sprint speed while Gauss Prime has 1.5.
Yes, it's not optimal to buy Warframes or Prime Warframes just to have the character, as you can get relic packs very easily (unless you don't care about spending platinum). I would choose based on how the cosmetics that come with the collection look, but usually I don't care or just want a single item from the pack 🙂 On the difference between Normal and Prime: Prime Warframes have more default polarization and minimally better stats. Also, they all have metallic colors (e.g. gold), but you can look like a non-Prime version if you want. You can also combine almost all skins with Prime clothing, so it's very customizable.
Prime Warframes are, for intents and purposes, better looking skins. They have very minor stat increases in defense or sprint speed only, never a power increase so using the regular version is pretty much the same. Prime WEAPONS however is where you get actual power increases, since prime weapons almost always have objectively better stats than their normal versions, or if they were already really powerful, they have minor improvements or sidegrades instead of direct power increases.
So aside from the lore the prime versions get more stats, like health, more shield, armor, more speed etc. Depends on the warframe based stats, some have more health some more shield, some has more energy and some has none. For example I take Inaros, the base version he has, lets say 400 health but no shield but he gets more armor (I don't remember the exact numbers) the prime version has 500 instead of 400 health, even it's armor gets increased Hildryn she don't have energy but uses more shield. So the prime version gets even more shield stats Speaking of abilities they are all the same, it doesn't get stronger. Just the survivability stats and more mod customisations
The comments have been talking a lot about what Primes are, but they're leaving out one of the most valuable parts of Primes: When you earn Affinity and reach a new rank on a weapon, Warframe, or what have you, you gain XP toward your Mastery Rank. Vasto, Akvasto, Vasto Prime, and Akvasto Prime are considered four different weapons for the purpose of earning Mastery XP, and Gauss and Gauss Prime are considered two different Warframes for the purpose of earning it, too. Beyond that, when you get close enough to the Deimos family to install the Helminth Segment on your ship, Prime Warframes can't be used to juice it in the same way that Tenno-brand Warframes can. (This is a reason not to sell the Tenno frames even when you build or buy the Primes, because eventually when you get that segment, much like me, you'll be kicking yourself over the fact that you did.)
Technically it's not time slowing down rather your perception of time has changed where things appear as if they are going slower in reality your going much faster to everyone else but everyone else is going much slower to you this is often referred to as the time dilation effect where things don't appear as they seem from your point of view vs others around you.
Sorry late reply but technically you can slow everything with Gauss .... (SPOILER BELOW) . . . . . . . . . . . Using helminth Gloom from Sevagoth, onto Gauss with high Strength, every enemy will get slow while you're still in "speed force" with Gauss
The fact that GTA 5 Flash mods, are 10x better then like 90% of every "speedster" game is Concerning. imagine playing quick silver, and doing the stuff he did in that one X man movie. that would be dope, sure it would be hard to make normal, enemies to easy, and the only actual threats would be other speedsters. Every body that sleeps on Warframe bro that who
4:50 brother I'm pretty sure that's a genre, or idk but there's games like that.
you are describing superhot. Time moves only when you do. Still one of the best vr experiences
Oh man I remember seeing that when it came out. Looked really cool. If I ever get VR thats a must play.
Just put Gloom on Gauss or Volt for that effect of being super fast while everybody is super slow.
if you want again about going fast you could try Vanquish, it is kind of old, but it is peak speed
Those bullets were from his gun
Prime Warframes are, for intents and purposes, better looking skins. They have very minor stat increases in defense or sprint speed only, never a power increase so using the regular version is pretty much the same.
Prime WEAPONS however is where you get actual power increases, since prime weapons almost always have objectively better stats than their normal versions, or if they were already really powerful, they have minor improvements or sidegrades instead of direct power increases.
Gauss prime does seem more aero. He is aloott sharper like almost a jet
Gauss has 100 more shield (400 -> 500) and 0.1 more sprint speed (1.4 -> 1.5)
You can also have all the speed in the world but if your punches have no power behind them, all you can do is annoy and harass your enemies
Yo, did you see when Gauss literally knocked the coins outta the first guy he hit?
Honestly i don’t see an issue with buffing gauss to slow time and id like to be stopped when I hit an enemy
I want more Umbra frames
Gauss Prime does have a higher speed with 1.5 instead of 1.4. Which makes him faster than any warframe in the game.
So aside from the lore the prime versions get more stats, like health, more shield, armor, more speed etc.
Depends on the warframe based stats, some have more health some more shield, some has more energy and some has none.
For example I take Inaros, the base version he has, lets say 400 health but no shield but he gets more armor (I don't remember the exact numbers) the prime version has 500 instead of 400 health, even it's armor gets increased
Hildryn she don't have energy but uses more shield. So the prime version gets even more shield stats
Speaking of abilities they are all the same, it doesn't get stronger.
4:43 so... Sonic? Electric Jester 3 is also pretty good.
Technically it's not time slowing down rather your perception of time has changed where things appear as if they are going slower in reality your going much faster to everyone else but everyone else is going much slower to you this is often referred to as the time dilation effect where things don't appear as they seem from your point of view vs others around you.
gauss is speed
"I want a game where you can slow down time and mess with people while time is slowed or stopped"
Isn't that one of the main mechanics in Dishonored?
Or super hot
4:54 - Sonic? 😅
Sorry late reply but technically you can slow everything with Gauss .... (SPOILER BELOW)

Using helminth Gloom from Sevagoth, onto Gauss with high Strength, every enemy will get slow while you're still in "speed force" with Gauss
Right? They should make a game based off of that one movie. Um what was it?.. oh ya. I'd like to see a sonic the hedgehog game. That would be dope.
You should really play Timeshift, that game is a masterpiece
Time manipulation sounds like Quantum break sadly no speed
Nurgle prime
Cyberpunk 2077 can, in fact allow you to do that
The fact that GTA 5 Flash mods, are 10x better then like 90% of every "speedster" game is Concerning. imagine playing quick silver, and doing the stuff he did in that one X man movie. that would be dope, sure it would be hard to make normal, enemies to easy, and the only actual threats would be other speedsters. But ey thats why I'm not a game dev, surely someone could come up with a solution
a game about speed why does that sound familiar .... that is literly sonic like the whole reason sonic exists is that mario was not fast enough
A game about going fast with a super speedy character... Ever played Sonic games? 😅
The primes have slightly better stats
Super hot
Super hot
You played till you got Gauss, but don't know what a prime or who Ballas is ?
Yeah I call bullshit on that
Another yotuber who cuts of the video their reacting to early...
Prime gets better stats and ballas nade the primes they are the original versions of the warframe
9:32 he doesn't need to be aerodynamic, he dosnt move fast because he obeys physics he moves fast because he controls it.
Hes the thermal dynamics warframe not the run fast frame.
Late to the party but your semi ideal game does already exist. Tis an oldy but a goody. Timeshift. Less about speed but using time as your weapon. Shifting around bullets and enemies at will. I'd at least give it a look.
