Thanks man! I've always been learning music by ear, so that comes very naturally to me now. This way, all the dynamics will be transferred to the playing. Have a great one!

cgraugaard I am going to get into transcribing and learning by ear in the upcoming months..I have a couple questions, please answer them :D
      1) How long have you been playing guitar and when did you start learning by ear?( I know you said always but still)
      2) What are some essential tips and advices you can give me about transcribing and learning by ear? as I know almost NOTHING about it except the fact that it is SUPER IMPORTANT lol :D
      Thanks:)

Esat Akan I've been playing guitar for 12-15 years now, I guess. There is no right or wrong approach to learn by ear - it is very individual. However, a tip could be to play a song with two, three or four chords and simply figure out the chords by listening. Also, you should try to learn very simple blues pentatonic licks. Eventually, you will save a lot of time knowing these basics whenever trying to figure out a more complex lick or song.

I've always been terrible at learning by ear, but I'm trying as you suggested, and using the Amazing Slow Downer. Will you at least answer though: is this in standard tuning?

Thank you so much. No - best thing you can do is to train your ears instead of relying on tabs = better musician = more gigs :). But it's pretty straight forward. I would recommend downloading Amazing Slow Downer and input the track. And of course watch my video for reference. Hope you'll get it! - Graugaard
