I liked the attitude of the German guy "you don't need to be fluent... just trying..." For me this is important when you live abroad, it's a way to show respect to the locals
yeah, it almost impossible to get rid of the accent, if you are not a kid and not living in the english speaking surrounding everyone has an accent, even all English native speakers sound different;) For me personally I like to notice different accents it is so fun.

Exactly! I also tell the same to all people who want to learn new language. Don't be afraid to try! And make mistake - it is normal!
