ISS 2 and the early PES games were pretty much the highpoint of the golden age of football. Fake names were part of the charm. The last few years have been a complete disaster for football games. All hope now is for the next generation.

Seriously, the ball physics of this game are actually very good
Considering its a PS1 game, yes, it is impressive. Heck, even the net look good too. Konami really achieve a lot of things with this franchise early on in subtle ways that took FIFA many many years to get there. This was an example of presentation vs gameplay.

Iss at the time was phenomenal. It was a huge step up from fifa. This is football were pushing it as well. I miss having a choice other than fifa. Pes have brought it back a bit the past 2 years, here's hoping there is some real competition again going forward.
