It is closer to dub you're right but imo it just shows how far the spectrum of dubstep can extend. When I talk about my music tastes, I simply say I like electronic music. I know the average person usually believes dubstep is only one kind of sound, and it's hard to convince someone they are ignorant. It's a shame really, but at least we all found our way here :)
