I just found your videos and watched each more than once. I will start these movements tomorrow, although I am 75 and have been plagued with this for the last 12 yr. I’m so hoping that by following your instructions I may still be able to retrain my brain to get some correction if possible. Thank you!
Attitude is everything! It's recently been discovered that we can change our brain at any age. Previously it was believed that our brain was permanently set at a young age. Keep going and don't forget to update us in a few months, or whenever you have news to share.
I have been doing Feldenkrais for five years and have never found anything as effective as these videos for scoliosis. My scoliosis is fairly severe and I have been greatly relieved by just the first video, and now the second has brought more relief. Thank you so much Taro.
Your kind, gentle and positive energy is much appreciated. 😊
I've found it so difficult to find support for adult scoliosis. I feel so grateful for your generosity. Thank you so much for this video.
Agreed. There isn’t a lot out there compared to other issues. It’s a serious issue for some people but these exercises make me look at it in a whole different way. It’s a nervous system issue as much as physical, if I’m understanding it correctly.
Forreal! Everything else is geared towards younger people to prevent scoliosis but they make adults feel like this is a death sentence and it’s too late to do anything but just get surgery
Thank you, the first movement already helped me to reduce the pain. I’m going to add this exercice in my routine. 👍👍😀
Glad to hear!
I absolutely love your videos Taro!!! An absolute game changer!!! This series is brilliant!! Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!
Thank you❤ for sharing your time and knowledge. This movement feels great! I was told I have scoliosis by my pediatrician around 6-7 years old , it its slight enough we’re I’ve never worn a brace just was told to stand with my heels and shoulders to wall as a corrective measure, and be mindful of my posture. Been a runner for about 26 years- I’m 36 now and I have not been faithful to that practice but I try to be mindful of how I move, I do notice that it stems from my hips 100%%%%% lots of clicking and grinding going on it that area. I appreciate you very much for reaching out to help us all.
You have an amazing gift to help so many❤
Can you please do a video on foot arches(fix flat foot); knee, calves and ankle pain.
It's always surprising to see how effective feldenkrais can be. It's not easy to find the right exercises to do but when you find the right one you notice the difference rather quickly.
it's all about informing your nervous system of many movement patterns so it has more resources in the store and you won't get stuck in one pattern all the time.
Bravooo.Meister of the World 💫🙏
Thank you that help so many people.
This is a most excellent daily exercise.
Excellent!
🌟🙏 Thank you 🙏 Many blessings 🌟
Thank you for this series of exercices! If I want to go through them one a day would you recommend doing them first thing in the morning or in evening? my shoulders are definitely more even after ex1 and this one.
Thank you !
You're welcome!
thank u so much!

Does it also help the lumbar curve that's going in the opposite direction of the thoracic?
Hi, Taro--I just found your videos yesterday, and they are extremely helpful! Thank you! Would it be helpful to do this exercise standing up as well, shifting the pelvis right and left? Thank you for your reply!
yes doing in both sitting and standing would be helpful!
i can't lift elbows high for long and my elbows are much closer together than yours. can i do this without raising arms so high. thanks
no worries. you can put your hands on your chest and do these movements.
@@TaroIwamoto thank you
@@plantvera my pleasure!
Are these movements safe for someone with osteoporosis? I’m have Prolia every six months.
Hi. I have a left scoliosis c curve on my left side would these movements be ok for me to do on my right and left sides or should I just focus on my ride side only. Thank you for your time in answering my question.
I would still practice both directions, but do your non habitual side more than habitual side.
It is true that all people have scoliosis some degreee?
absolutely! we (humans) are naturally asymmetrical in both structure and function, so it's rather natural to have some degree of scoliosis. The question is whether scoliosis is affecting your functions in a negative way. If it is, then we can retrain our movement patterns and reduce the negative impact on our functions. Asymmetries don't necessarily require correction as long as they are not negatively impacting our functions.
Hello, I'm 17 years old and I have 35 degrees of cobb scoliosis, could you tell me if it's possible for me to decrease at least 20 degrees? How long could it take? I would really like to have an aesthetic body: I already have height (1.90) but it is absolutely useless if I have scoliosis.
I couldn't understand practically anything you said, because I'm from Brazil and almost nobody here really knows English.
.. 'Super thank you!' " 👍 & 👍! " 💖💖 ☝️
you are welcome:)
👍
Will this exercise fix the hump?
it will help yes. I suggest you check my Improve Posture Playlist for more relevant videos for you.
Hi, did it help to make rib hump smaller? I have one on my right side
..
I have moderate scoliosis and living in pain most of the time. I’m so grateful for your effort in helping this specific group of people. Thank you and bless you Taro!
my pleasure!
I am so excited about the scoliosis videos. My husband gives me massages occasionally to help out with the pain and I had him check out my back after doing these two or three times. He says he thinks the knots in my back are decreased. This will be a part of my daily exercises and I'm really looking forward to doing even more when my responsibilities lighten up approximately 10 days from now
After going through number one and two, I’ve noticed my shoulder droop is much less. Amazing
Could you create a movement/stretch or strength protocol for restoring lordosis within the upper cervical spine? C3-C7 area. I suspect a lot of people would benefit and help save some of the wear and tear on their disks. Thank you Taro!
my tension headache exercise video would be great for that!
@@TaroIwamoto Ok great! Thank you, I'll check that one out.
Finally something different and useful. This might be helpful. Thank you.
Im as good as dead this pain is just unbearable... I have cervical lordosis and upper back pain and mild scoliosis. It hurts so much. Hopefully this will help.
Thank u very much , it is so helpful . excellent video 👍🌟
you are welcome:)
The first exercise didn't change my shoulder height, but this one did! I'm a little shook. Thank you! Trying to go through this entire playlist.
!! Wowww so good❤
Because of my pc mouse position I leaned little bit to the right for like 15 years. Now all the muscle in my right side is shorter. What other exercises do you recommend?
retraining your nervous system and movement is a way to go, which is what my channel is all about :)
Hey Taro, Can we move (make arch) as much as possible to either side? Do we need to focus more on the affected side or give equal importance towards both end?
I ws in so mch pain and walking was a task.... In just 2 days I'm feeling relieved and so much better
Wonderful! I can really feel the difference! Even with my s-curve. I'm definitely out of balance
Did 2nd video today. I’m looking forward to more
another one coming in a few weeks!
felt it riiiiiiight away dear IWA
Wow Thank you :)
Brilliant
Thank you! How do you recommend we measure the height of our shoulders? Is it just in relation to each other, or the height of our shoulder from the ground?
Thanks for asking this question. It is in relation to each other.
Can I mix the scoliosis lessons with the Simple headache relief video?.
of course!
Wow, this exercise is making me heat up pretty quick. I have to stop in between because otherwise I feel unwell. I probably need it 😊
I m suffering from A.S . My spine becomes bamboo spine . So plz suggest me some exercise for the flexibility of spine send other joints
TY Taro
You're welcome:)
Is this suitable for teenagers Idiopathic scoliosis. Primary scoliosis is left lumbar scoliosis and secondary is thoracic to right side. Further there’s a mild pelvic tilt also.
absolutely:)
The exercises are so confusing ... he is a terrible teacher.
what did you find particularly confusing?
You aren’t listening. It’s just hard for you because you’re not doing it gently. Not a teacher problem, it’s a you problem. So sad bc it would help if you gave it a real try.
