I'm channelling a contortionist from a Freak Show with my legs going in a different direction from the rest of me and my head on back to front. I'm so sorry to hear of your beloved pooches passing. We lost our 15 year old male tea cup Maltipoo, Jack Jack, 9/11/20 & it's still hard not knowing who stole him from our driveway on that day. We want to believe that he walked away while loading up the vehicle for a long weekend on the boat to pass away as he had declined immensely over the last month he was with us & we knew the time was near. After all we did to try to find him, we still haven't had any confirmed sitings in our very small rural community. It happens quick, one minute he's at my feet, the next he was gone, and I thought he may have got in the car since we take them just about every where with us, especially on the boat. I do hope that your heart heals and the memory of your sweet babe remains in your heart forever.

You are just TOO much fun!! Question - are there different types of longhaired chihuahua fur? Are they all pretty fluffy? And do you find that long hair or short hair like to cuddle more or less? I live in a warm climate and love the look of longhaired but I would hate for it to be less of a lapdog because it's too warm lol , I can't decide between long or short coat

Regarding the coat types, some long coats have thicker fur than others. Generally the puppy’s fur type will be similar to his parents so you should ask the breeder if you can see the parents. If mom and dad aren’t too fluffy, the puppy probably won’t be either. Keep in mind a puppy coat falls out and then their adult cot comes in later. You can’t always tell how fluffy an adult will be simply by looking at their puppy coat..
Regarding temperament, I have not noticed much difference between long coat or short coat. Chihuahuas were bred to be lap dogs so cuddling is their job. They love it. That being said, there are some chihuahuas who are more adventurous and independent and less likely to crave physical affection. If you want a cuddle bug, make sure to ask the breeder about temperament. Also, chihuahuas like warn climates. They hate the cold. 😆

Hello wondering if you could do a video on breeding Chihuahuas with different coat colors and short and long hair what would happen with the litter such as if I had a short-haired darker Chihuahua mate with a lighter long hair Chihuahua with the litter be mixed with both or with the darker be more dominant just like in life itself

Hi Janice, I like to name my litters with themes. Sometimes I use character names from a particular movie or show. Sometimes I use names of celebrities. Sometimes I use names from families I’ve known over the years. For example, if I have a litter with three boys, and one girl, I might use the names of some of my childhood friends, who had three boys, and one girl in their family.

In my experience it really depends on the personality of each dog. Gender is not as much of a factor as personality. Some females are alphas and some males are alphas. Likewise, some females are submissive cuddle bugs and some males are submissive cuddle bugs. It really just depends on the dog

The "TECHICHI" dog has been around before the "state" of Chihuahua was ever even thought of by one of the seven "aryan" nations known as "spain"
By the way, the name TECHICHI translates to "small dog" or "small animal" in the NAHUATL language spoken by the AZTECS long before the spaniards ever showed up.
