My parents bought this generation A8 in 2007 and there is a 2.8L NA V6 engine back in my home and we still have it right now. This also is the first car I've ever driven and it was lovely to drive an NA V6 all seems smooth than ever. The building quality of this A8 is exceptionally good. The only problem we have so far is windshield fluid leaking but really not a big deal. It is super efficient to drive on the highway. Once I've driven 1000km in one tank it was about 6.0L/100km and I set the cruise control at 120km/h. This car brings back so much memory and god I love watching you drive this!
My a4 2.0 tdi fuel consumption at 120 is over 5 litres. So I´m afraid to say you that you can´t get 6 litres with a petrol a8 by no means. I would say 8-9 on the highway.
Believe it or not, the wheels are from D2 - the previouss gen A8. They looked so good that people bought these and installed them on D3. Myself included when I owned the car.
Those are W12 wheels. 20x9 ET46 Forged. Those where standard on W12 A8 D3s, while the stock 19in Turbines were optional still. They were optional on the D2 A8 W12 in Europe and Asian markets but only 750 of them where made with W12 engine not all having the 20in wheels. They were also available on D2 S8 in overseas markets after the facelift, and were 20x9 ET38 though almost all D2 S8 have normal Avus 18in aswell with the A8 W12 usually having Monoblock 10pots. It is HIGHLY UNLIKLEY that the wheels on the A8 in the video are from a D2. D2 also featured different offset, and were all polished faces and barrels (the ones in the video are painted so can't use that info). I know not much about the overseas market, but facelift D3 in overseas markets was 2005 unlike US, with 2006 having the good V8 (belt) and getting updated front end with single grill and kept the prefacelift rear taillights. Only late model (middle-late) 2006 did they come fully facelifted in US. Thats what I have done for a few A8s I've worked on. Its alot more common to take the D3 W12 20in wheels, cause over in the US, there's only 482 sets according to Audi of America for which W12 A8s were optioned with them. Probably a bit more in other country's.

This video being filmed in Poland so who knows maybe they are from a D2, but highly unlikely. Unless there is a way to ask the owner of the car the exact part number from the wheels, we will never know.

A8 D3 is old but still wonderful car to drive. Of course old, doesn’t mean cheap. ZF gear, Air suspension, 4 wheel drive, lot of electric moduls.After 2005 petrol engines are with Direct injection
the Auto 6HP in them are very good. Only thing that could go wrong with is the Torque Converter which fails at around 120k if the car was abused its whole life, flooring it constantly but have lasted up to 400k. Air suspension is mostly aftermarket or refurb now, and under $600 to replace all them if it does go bad. Not sure what's bad about Quattro, as that's bullet proof. Electric modules only have problems if water is involved or corrosion happens. I've bought few of them around $2200 to $3000. All said and done, insured is about $3500 to $4500 and you are good to drive at buck50 lol

I had the 4.2 V8 (not FSI) and the engine was very reliable, but the problem was besides the engine everything else was breaking down at some point. I had to fix so many problems and it was very expensive. This car has so many options, but unfortunatly the more options you have, the more things can break down.
good car Volkswagen had some of the best v6 together with mercedes and i guess gm with the 3.8 but thats not as refined and not really existing in europe.

Super A8 d3. Środek to wręcz klasyka. Jedno z ostatnich Audi co tak super wyglądało i nie było przekombinowane.
Ładnie utrzymany samochód kto by pomyślał że 19 lat temu była premiera jeszcze z tym mniejszym grillem a rok później lifting.

I would love to own one, but would be afraid of the maintenance. Life is short I suppose. Maybe one day!
Iv got 1 for 3years now and its a super cool car but the maintenance on this are high and there are alot of problems all time going on.
