I really like this segment of the training series, you covered driving with the cart and being ridden. It must have taken a lot of time to film and edit. You do an amazing job Yvonne, I’m so glad you are sharing all of this with us. Love to you and your family as you recover.👍🏻🥰👨👩👦👦
Just loved this!! Wow can the Friesian move with their canter! It is fun to see a fast canter; their so quick momentary left or right at one point. The riders so experienced and calm ready for anything. Once I rode oat a gallop! it was a thoroughbred barrel racer who’s owner zipped by at a gallop as she saw earlier, wrongly, that I rode often. Expecting to stay at a canter yet was curious about a horses stride at a gallop, and leaned forward, quietly, ( I tried ) 3 times a moment to look at it. Did see it was different and very cool! As she quickly moved further , had to lean further. My pretty maneless horse burst out! caught up in a flash! Zoom! She had to run a bit to catch up, no problem. So cool! These Friesians are such good learners. Riders talking to them, relaxed and loving it too. The tail so relaxed the ears listening or alert, happy as I an watching it. loved the splash sound in the water! They are brave trusting too- the truck!
I had noticed Eefje was a lot calmer & on horseback Frieda wanted to gallop!!! She was ready to kick up her heels & RUN!!! 😂🤣👍 She was easy to spot in driver rig with her "wiggly" behind! & Eefje looks just like Uniek when on horseback in the arena!! I have SOOOOO enjoyed these 5 video's. I tune EVERYthing out while I'm watching, so when they try to speak to me & I don't answer they say,"Sherry's watching her Horses." Thank you Yvonne for being so kind as to share them with us. 💕💕🐎🐎🐴🐎
@@AnimaltestedLoveapproved YES!! I remember because I was thinking she had a New Orleans ladies Sashay and when you put Wiggly butt .... I figured, yup, that did it! That's why I mentioned it because I thought it was so hilarious. She's such a cute filly
Eefje looks so much like Queen Uniek she likes to be good and look already stunning you can see that both fillies have learned and improved a lot They are beautiful They will be worthy Ambassadors of the Frisian breed and of Stahl G ❤🐎🐎
I think Eefje's going to be a big mare, just like her mom! It's just so amazing how quickly they learn. Horses learn so much faster when they trust the people they're working with, and you can really see that here, how Frieda and Eefje both listen to their trainers, trust them to know what to do, and respond by trying their best!
The girls did amazing, so happy to see them gain more confidence on the road especially with all the cars & going through water. They do great while being riden too, Miss Frieda seemed like she was ready to fly, she wanted to RUN lol. She was saying: “come on I’m ready to race” almost like she was showing off, “look at how wonderful I’m doing”😄 Of course both of them are wonderful, thanks to the patient, kind yet steady firm training being done with them. I really admire & appreciate the way Anne Okkema is with them when they’re driving the cart, he’s calm, steady & kind & has a soothing encouraging voice when he speaks. He seems to be a wonderful man who definitely knows horses & how to deal with them, certainly a professional in the horse world who really seems to enjoy working with these beautiful creatures. Was wonderful to watch as usual, thanks again for another amazing video!😊♥️♥️ Best horse channel there is on RUclips, it never fails to make me smile, you’re the best, Yvonne!
Friesian Horses You’re Welcome, I truly mean that! And yes I love ALL the videos you post, the horses are so beautiful & gentle.🥰🐴Lianne & Uniek are particularly special to me & I’ve never met them, yet they both have a place in my heart as I feel I’ve gotten to know them.😍 Edit: Oh & sweet Saly too, can’t forget her as she’s the reason Lianne is so loving.❤️The bond you 2 have is very special I must say I’m a bit jealous lol😄
I am impressed with how considerate the drivers are with the horses on the road - that is fantastic. Here in the US we get a great deal of jerks who are inconsiderate and accelerate or honk the horn to scare the horses. Not many people ride horses on the side of the road in my state. Thank you for sharing these videos. I always look forward to seeing these.
See Frieda go in the arena! And her wiggle is cute also, it identifies her! Beautiful to watch them in the arena and pulling the cart. They look like they love learning, prob because they are taught so well. 😊⚘
So agree! like how in the ring the horse occasionally answers the good job! speaking trainer. Fresians like learning new things. Enough relaxing in the meadow with pals all year, I’m not Ferdinar (?) the bull sitting down looking at the flowers. I want lots more! I’m a Friesian! From beautiful Holland!
You did beautifully preparing the Friesians with lunging and collecting their heads for their training time away. Eefje looks gorgeous under saddle, her movements are fabulous. Frieda is excitable and says...When I grow up, I am going to be an endurance horse 🏇 lol No Frieda, Friesian Horses has a much better life planned for you 😁 Thank you, I so love this series of how you begin their training ❣️
This is just great...you can see when the horses begin to ''get it'' and come out of their confusion...and in a lot of ways are happier for it...also you can see the joy in their movements...and for us the joy in watching their movements
This is such an enjoyable series of videos! The progress each of the horses is making is excellent. I can see the confidence Eefje and Frieda are gaining in their ability to drive the cart- you can see it in the way they hold their heads, in their ears, in their body language. Really cool! Thank you for sharing their training.
Soft mouths and gentle hearts - they are so brave! Lots to see with cars and trucks and signs - bet they stay up late at night shaking their heads and whispering to each other about the day...
It’s amazing how they did driving together .I would be so afraid with a younger horses anything can happen but there are very calm and collected.Great job with the training
It seems worth the wait in training to get these results so quickly. They are respondi g so well be it riding or pulling the cart.S o much fun to be able to join them on this journey.
The interesting thing about training, Is that if you push for it to early in their training, you’ll never get it. But if you are patient you will have the perfect horse for a lifetime!
I love this! Eefje and Frieda are doing so well, and I am so happy after watching this video. Your videos are the best thing after a long day! I am learning so much about your horses!

The 3-year olds enjoy the closeness of bumping and touching each other while pulling Anne and they have blinkers on while pulling double. Anne gently dangles the riding crop over the left horse to train a left turn. Very consistent training and nicely done. The horses don't have on blinkers when pulling a single? Why is that? How much weight can a 1200 lb. Friesian? They used to be farm and plow horses like the Belgian draft horses, right?
