(English sub) Initiatives of Horaiya Honten Co., Ltd., JFS-C Certified Company

Since its establishment in 1906, Horaiya Honten Co., Ltd. has been producing and selling amazake, miso and seasoning for sagohachi pickles using the "koji production method" that has been handed down for over 100 years.
They obtained JFS-C standard certification in February 2024.
We spoke with them about the circumstances that led to their acquisition of the JFS-C Standard and the changes that have taken place since acquisition.
The JFS Standard, a food safety management standard originated in Japan, has the role of ensuring food safety linkages in the food chain through third-party audits.
Why not use the JFS Standard as a license for food safety and a passport for business transactions?
