QLC+ Quick Beginner Overview

- A few days using QLC+ and this is what I have so far. My DMX512 controller will still be used as backup but QLC+ running on my old Macbookpro 2012 will be my primary controller. I also got it to trigger using my old PS4 controller.

lods, im using a macbook air mid 2012, is it possible the latest version of qlc+ will work?, cos that is what i downloaded, or should i replace it with that same version you had. im planing to buy usb to dmx interface, good thing i saw your video. thanks for sharing, i will watch all your videos.
Mine is mbp mid-2012. I think it will work on yours too. Yes try the latest version first and if it does what you need then great 🤓

I installed version 4.12.6 on a 2014 MacBook Pro, but QLC+ keeps crashing. I'm going to try version 4.11.2
@@johankoerts9191 mine, macbook air mid2012 OSX BIG SUR i downloaded qlc version 4.12.6 and it works fine. All lights im using, i created new fixture for it.
Thanks for the video. I am just now attempting to run lighting on my 2022 M1 MacMini under the Ventura 13.2, and I have the Enttec DMX USB Pro, and a couple of LED Dimmers, not to mention running QLC+ with the latest version 4.xx+ (not 5.0 beta yet). I set-up my fixtures, selected the DMX USB Pro as the Input. My fixtures do not seem to be responding to any movements in the Simple Desk, but the QLC DMX monitor shows the changes from the sliders.
What MAC OS version are you running? Did you have to alter any Apple drivers (such as FTDI) to get your fixtures to receive DMX commands?
My most ambitious goal is to have My Ableton Live software control the lighting thru QLC+, possible thru the use of the Apple IAC Driver to connect them together.
Any advice/suggestions?
Anyway, looking forward to more videos from you on setting up QLC+ fixtures/scenes/chases/etc. Thanks again.
i am running 10.13.6 High Sierra on a very old MBP mid-2012. i did not have to alter drivers, the dongle i use was detected right away.

@@DJDLS do you have a tutorial how to import your created fixtures? i find it difficult to use my personal fixtures using the fixture definition editor. if i try to look to my personal fixtures there is none on the fixture list.
@@papadenzmasters you have to save your created fixtures in the default directory.
@@DJDLS i saved the fixtures in fixture folder that contain the fixtures from the os. but if i try to search my brand name folder, i cant find it.
