It would be difficult to reply to every comment left here on this video, so let me just say- All of you, whether you've been with me since the beginning or you jumped on board somewhere along my journey, I just want you to know that I love and appreciate all of you so much. I read every comment here and I can't help but feel humbled, motivated, and inspired by your kind words and support. Thanks for helping some random dude on the internet live his dream all these years.
I found your gold-standard Seymour Duncan comparison video 11-12 years ago, was immediately hooked by the 'Pillars Of (Re-)Creation' riff, and grabbed the first three albums off of your site (I paid!). I'll leave the 7-string madness to you, but I've been happy as hell riffing to your work on my PRS SE 277. The instrumental stuff really opened me up to more progressive metal with 'Braving The Dunes', 'The Piscator', and, of course 'Pillars'. I sincerely appreciate the effort, fun, and nerdiness you put into your shit, dude.
You're certainly not just a random dude on the internet. You're on of the OGs out here! There is no way to not land on your YT if you're into the heavier type of music and guitar playing. Thank you for being a part of our guitar journeys. Forever grateful for you, your music and your videos. Cheers mate!
You're the source of a massive amount of inspiration Keith. You kill not just riffing but structuring and are always pushing metal into new territory, and you've done more for the guitar gear development world than most people begin to realize. Best of all you've always been a super nice dude, thanks for answering my silly emails about lighting and recording setup years ago!
Duuuude, are you ever gonna take on a future collaboration or feature with Alluvial or Wes again? I come from that era of your vids, back when you guys were trying out Archons and Evertunes for the first time, lol. Always watching, thanks forever, MerrBro!
I recall around 2010 when I first started working in kitchens with people who didn't like metal at all I'd play Merrow instrumental stuff (they were all hip hop heads) and were super into it. In the age of iPod touches, etc I didn't have anything without screaming. Merrow writes such good music that people that don't even like metal enjoy it.
While I enjoy some screaming, it seems it so expected, it reaches the proportion of caricature. With that said, I have a bunch of pop songs I might end up growling and screaming over. 😅
Fellow guitar playing Keith M here... Just picked up the original lambo orange km-7 today and its in beautiful shape and plays amazing. It only felt right getting it having the same name and last initial haha keep up the sick riffs man
You have been the biggest inspiration for me and among one of the greatest to grace a fretboard imo. When I’m stuck in a rut of not practicing i put on your tracks and it pulls me out. I cannot wait to get my hands one of your models. Thank you for sharing your art
Did he leave AE, or they just taking a break? I hope he leaves. I mean, one of the greatest of our time and he might as well joined Godsmack...no offence, grew up with them, but cmon.....hes there just to but weak solos over even weaker riffs while taking a vastly talented with diverse abilities vocalist and said just make this one noise all the time....
@@FionnMcc yea, I'm not sure my sarcasm got across, or confusing wording, but it was meant to be kind of a low blow comparison of Arch Enemy, an elite mainstream metal band who, in my comparison sounded about as tough and generic as Godsmack...it was absurd sarcasm. Of course Jeff would sound ridiculous with them, but point being, his massive skills and song writing talents which really show from the days of Nevermore, where as Keith wrote most of the core riffs to CD; are being lost and drown out. One can only hope the dream team will reunite. I had hoped the same for Nevermore untill Warrel passed.
@@kryptickorner ah fair, I thought you were serious 🤣 I quite like arch enemy and Godsmack 🤣 although you are correct they are very mainstream and not exactly what I would call good. They are like going to McDonald's, you know it's shit but for some reason it still tastes good! Loomis on the other hand is incredible and yeah I agree Nevermore was great. The problem is money I assume. It pays better to play in more mainstream bands. Broderick, Andy James, Loomis etc, they have all gone to the "dark side" and joined mainstream metal bands for the cash (I assume).
this is where, passion, dedication, talent, practice and a true love for playing can take you. what a phenomenal guitarist you continue to prove yourself to be Keith!
Today I thought of you. Looked up your name on RUclips and found this. I’m shook man. I miss your presence on this platform. It’s so so good to see you here again!
Dude the writing for this is spectacular! I love how you blended these lines and riffs together to sound this cohesive. Keep up the stellar work, Keith! -Luis
Really great tune. Love the intro...Its so different from most stuff you would here on the internet. So full of it. Looking forward to an album with this tune....
Man, I had this weird dream, felt like it lasted for years, and Keith Merrow had long hair! Good to see this was just a dream. Also, fucking sick riffs and tones, obviously! 🤘🤘
…I saw you live in San Antonio Texas back in 2015, I believe…..You we’re awesome!…..Your guitar model would be the only one I’d ever buy from Schecter, simply badass!…..🤘🔥🤘…..
Everything you do with music or gear is always top notch and very unique. You certainly have a signature sound and we will always support you. Btw the Pegasus/Sentient set is an absolute work of art.
Just insane. Amazing work, ! Reminds me your test of the bugera 6260 amp 10 years ago, still one of my favorite Thrashy track. AND i bought the amp, it sounded so perfect with your style. I still got it, was everything i was looking for. Keep posting amazing stuff man, Cheers from france lml

Truly magnificent. ❤
Keith Merrow Gear Demo is still one of my favorite genres to this day.
Every time I see Keith play I just realize he's another level of metal rhythm. Just fucking superb man.
Ya he’s fucking sick right? Clean af and tight af
the Merrow from 2010 is back!
I was thinking the same thing
We’re so back
Praise Satan.

Just in time to conquer dystopia once again
Wes Hauch as well
@@Diabolical1337 I dont recall wes hauch, or anyone else for that matter on that album...
Keith has some of the best chord progressions in heavy music. Love this stuff.
Dude this reminds me of when I first heard you like 12 years ago or more. I was blown away.
Consider me blown away again. This is badass as hell.
Need an album from you soon. Song is killer!
I hope Jeff Loomis, Alex Rudinger, and Alex Webster are on that album as well.

I am so glad you are giving the Lundgren pickups some shine.
that top is GORGEOUS, sounds great too

Drop-dead gorgeous guitar, killer arrangement, tone & playing!
I can't believe how fast this guitar felt. I'm definitely going to grab one up eventually.

Great stuff. I love Schetcher 7 strings.
What a gorgeous guitar!
I spoke watching since many years. Because he had the funky cool vibe. Then everything was at high speed that everything sounds rhe same.
Keith is a metal riff architect of the highest order.
Great to see and hear ya brother. Killer axe and jam. Appreciate you.
I've got the same Amp with the Engle Pro XXL cab. It's amazing. I now have kt88's in it instead of the EL34.
How does that work? KT 88 similar in voltage. I have the 6L6 version but the engl people told me id have to make a small mod to go for EL34.

Wish one of those Thantifaxath or Nightmarer dates was coming to the KC area. 😭
Glad to see you're still kicking. I remember you and Jeff Loomis chugging away 10 years ago, hard to think where the time's gone.
