    she had 21, and players were aggressively defending her and somehow the refs called caitlin for four fouls by the third quarter so she hardly played the second half. there was alot of ref hate on caitlin it looked like from my seat at least.

    The problem isn’t that their fanbase doesn’t go to the WNBA with them because they play 4 years in college but that when to go to the WNBA they have so little teams so not enough spots for them that if they do get a spot if they are not like a Caitlin Clark they won’t be a starting player and will end up as a bench player that won’t play much so by the time they do get to play their fanbase has moved on.

    There are other great WNBA players but Caitlin’s game is just so much fun to watch!!! I’m excited for the Fever line up: Caitlin Clark, Aaliyah Boston, Nalyssa Smith, Kelsey Mitchell.
    I was at the Fever vs Wings game and even the Wings fan were cheering for Caitlin!!!

    Just because there’s CC hype doesn’t mean they going to start televising other WNBA preseason games. WNBA barely filling half their stadiums and ratings were low.
    Let the CC effect start first. Maybe then other WNBA teams will start gain attendance and ratings rise for other games.

    • @dylanloveskellytaylor4774
      @dylanloveskellytaylor4774 Месяц назад

      That’s how it worked for the women’s college. People watched the CC games and while doing so noticed other players that were also good and became fans of theirs as well and started to watch their games as well and so on which is why women college basketball now draw a in at least 2 million people a game whereas for CC it was 4 to 5 million a game. Last night they were saying Angel got 200,000 but the stadium was quite empty on a stream on twitter while CC got over 2 million viewers and a sold out game of almost 7,000 people yet people are screaming that the WNBA is racist for not streaming Angels game on their platform.

    Appreciate your pov, but I disagree about letting athletes come to the league early. I know it may be unfair, especially to super talented athletes, but it is all the early entry of these athletes that is killing the leagues, but short circuit in the potential careers of many athletes. First, the physical maturation is a huge negative. Playing against fully body mature grown men has in my opinion ruined many an athlete with promise, but jump early for the money. But even bigger is the mental and social maturity. Just as a prime example....and he gets alot of disrespect among the Stephen a smith's and never played know it all, but Kwamie Brown really needed a couple of years instead of coming right out of high school. Give the man his flowers, he spent 11 years in the NBA, But he was the first overall pick. From day 1, he had a coach/player in Michael Jordan that didn't want him on the team. In addition, most of the grown men do hang together, especially on road trips. Being an underage, can't and shouldn't be going to the type of bars and strip clubs players go to, it create a situation where someone ends up being the ' babysitter' , and I'm not saying that in a derogatory way. It's just a difficult situation to build team chemistry if a person is under 20.
