  • For anyone trying to figure out the wiring to run the Yanmar engine without ECU , test fuel selenoid,or has missing connector and can't tell what is what because all wires are white to truck side...I'm using mine as a hydraulic power unit with module..Won't have overheat, low coolant, low oil shut off etc..but won't be running but a few minutes at a time.....Doesn't

Where is this located on the apu ? I have a tk evolution and not getting fuel to the injectors and the fuel is new and pumping . So I'm thinking this is my problem and need to change the solenoid. Where is this located at and has it been a reliable part ?

I running same solenoid and I think it’s electrical problem I’ve already put 3 new solenoid they all do the same thing….. engine cranks but solenoid will pull in and spit back out and just turn the engine off. But it will stay in the fuel on position only if I push it jn. Any advice would help thanks!

So help me understand, how did you connect that solenoid on the end? What wire is connected on what (ignition, power, ground…)?
    Thanks

The black wire is ground...When the APU is about to crank over..the wire that connects to the red wire will have power but will not open fuel valve...when the ecu sends power to the fuel pump and start alarm..it then sends power to the white wire very momentarily and the valve will stay in the open position as long as the red wire has at least 10 volts or so...As far as where and what position in the triangular plug with all white wires on mine..I couldn't say ..It would need to be tested for a good ground ,constant power and cammand voltage upon start up sequence before cutting off the connector from the defective one to attach with butt connectors and shrink wrap......If you don't have voltage etc there then this selenoid isn't the issue....I'm running the unit stand alone as a hydraulic power unit that runs for just a few minutes at a time .All the ecu BS and not starting because of low refrigerate pressure and the like didn't seem worth dealing with just to have shut down protection for over temp and low oil level...I replaced the alternator with a 15gpm vane pump to operate a boom and under reach tow unit..
