@@brettnugent8236 - sorry, I missed your question before this. My Santa Cruz is an F Model with Indian Rosewood back and sides. It was built I think in 2005. I picked the wood out for the guitar at the Santa Cruz shop. The legendary Richard Hoover walked me through the options!
Good job with the review, I appreciate your thoroughness. The only thing I would recommend is that you reconsider your thoughts on the neck/fret discussion. 0M has a longer scale length than 000, not a longer neck. Thus you would have to capo the 0M at the first fret to duplicate the the scale length of the 000. The shorter scale length on the 000, allows for easier bending of the strings. The 0M would have to be tuned down a half step with capo on 1st, then it also would be equal in response to bending strings. Both models attach neck to body at the 14th fret.
David - thank you so very much for your gracious clarifications regarding scale length and neck length. That totally makes sense. Grateful you stopped by …
Santa Cruz volume is louder and trebles are more defined. Maybe it's my Tinnitus acting up but it sounds like the SC bass string is out of tune. The Martin's cherry wood sounds very nice, better than I expected.
Biggest takeaway for me from this is that the Cherry model records very well. The Santa Cruz was really pushing the limits of that mic, whereas the Martin was very smooth and even. Lower volume, but less temperamental.
He could have shared his Collings y one of Santa Cruz…imo…btw I sing a lot y that 🍒 tone is not as boring as the general tone of most of Martins beginner’s intermediate guitars or so…imo it fits my voce
I bought a 322 for my Taylor experiment....best looking guitar I'd ever seen. After about a week, I realized it had no bass. Sold it and got a 000-15SM. It's a plain Jane design, but blows the Taylor away. It's Martin (or Guild), now.
Sorry, but I had to jump in to correct your 13-Frets to the body faux pas and the whole fret shorter neck length remark you made. Martin O, OO and OOO's do NOT all have 13-Frets to the body as you erroneously stated around 4:40 minutes into your video. They are 14-Frets to the body, (even though their Short-Scale Length is 24.9", compared to 25.4 Long-Scale on the OM and Dreads). Some special model O, OO and OOO may only have 12-Frets to the body, usually made with a Slotted Headstock and a differently placed bridge, further from the Soundhole and more slope-shouldered upper bout, if ordered that way. Just had to correct your faux pas since you're not familiar with Martin specifications.
I’ve got one and they have a much deeper low end than maple. Great job Curt.
Thanks!
Thank you for the review! I've been very interested in the OME Cherry and your review is a big help.
I heard you say that’s a Santa Cruz but what model is it. My God it sounds amazing!!! Was looking at the ome cherry now I want your guitar. Lol
Thanks!

First a great video
Second, very nice playing!
Third, the smile on your face playing that Martin...
Mine is on the way!
Hope you’re getting lots of playing time on it.
Great demo and comparison, not to mention the great playing. Thanks for sharing your expertise and insights. 👏
Thanks Thomas!
The cherry wood 🪵 has some special mojo in it can’t quite put my finger on it but wow that’s a great sounding Martin
Hey Edgar … Indeed, Mojo!
Thanks Curt, I've got a few Taylor's and a 45 year old Martin D-35. Really impressed with your review. I'll be looking into the OME Cherry for sure!
Thanks Brian.
The Martin OME Cherry sounds just like my 1972 D-35. Must have 1/4 non scalloped bracing.

Also miked up,the Martin to my ears is "clearer"
I'm sure the SC is fantastic but in this video I enjoyed the Martin's clarity
Thanks JD.

Dynamic range will open up as it ages!!!
True for sure.
The Cruz is so much deeper, fuller, and a beauty! The Martin is no slouch either, but I'll definitely take the Cruz!
Exactly! Love the Santa Cruz. I'll do a review on my Vintage Artist Santa Cruz after Easter some time.
Love your Cruz too!
It’s a treasure for sure.
Great review! Perfect
Thanks Steve. Grace and peace …
nice guitars, i would like to hear them through a small diaphragn condenser mic ...less boomy!
Great playing man.
Thanks Gasper.
I think that Cherry is the very best wood it is very balanced but a little lower on the deep in than Maple good review!
Thanks Vernon!

Good catch Alex.

Crap now I need both guitars
Hey Gary! Indeed ... you do. A few more of each in fact. 😁
Once you own a (higher end) Martin, your Taylor will never sound right again.
Indeed ... I do favor Martin over Taylor.

Hey Tim. Thanks for taking time to clarify. That’s makes more sense. Grace and peace.

You bet. Great guitars too!
