Ha! You said 10Base2! OMG the hours spent wiring that stuff, and making transciever cable connectors....I just had flashbacks! Nice little meter. Worth sticking in a drawer for a spare meter.
The case is too small? or the leads are too big (smaller leads would not have bent the wires like that) I have an old Radio Shack Meter too...... a desktop type of meter that will do transistors too
@@temporarilyoffline That end looked like the lead when I thought I was measuring voltage, but the lead was plugged into the wrong socket on the meter. Blew a hole in the wire at the probe. and now you know why I buy Harbor Frieght $5 meters :D
I used a little Radio Shack meter for years just like that one, except it has the dial for selections like your new one does. I loved it, but I can't remember why I replaced it. I think because I got a great deal on a new Fluke 77III. I still have it. Hope the button cells haven't corroded, because I doubt I removed them. Here it is in a very old repair video I did at about the 42:13 mark ruclips.net/video/jeo54GX1-Kc/видео.html .
Morning won't be able to watch the coffee and radio. Having problems with FT 8. Can't get it off com 3 when it should be 4 or 5. Can't keep usb audio codec going. It can't find it. Under radio FTDX-1200, and have to use a out side sounds card which is a Yaesu SCU-17 for the interface. If would do it Can't just it off com 3 or USB. Keep getting hamlib error IO error. It was working now not liking me. Silcon dual CP2105 comport 4 and 5. Guess I am confused. Don't have a way of checking. Looking for information and help. tnxs KQ4CD Paul

Ha! I have a radioshack meter that's the exact same design as the allosun meter seems like they updated the design or someone did and they just slapped their brand on it.
I'm going to miss seeing the little Radio Shack meter... RIP little guy...
Me too!
I still have mine. I just bought batteries for it tonight. And it still works.

Flashbacks or PTSD?
Cool little meter
It does the thing.
Glue Blob Brain. Perfect description!
Not serviceable... but for $14 it doesn't really need to be.
I have a RadioShack one I bought on clearance back in 2002. Cover broke. Other than that I love it.
I miss my original early 90s Radio Shack meter. This will have to do.
Never ever read the manual!
Manuals are fake
:100:
Mine should be here on Tuesday.
WootWoot!
I'd have been tempted to transplant the probes from the chinameter to the radioshack one. :3
I did think about it
SO, what do you think one year later? Recommended?
This meter lives in my battery it's like a Leatherman, not always the best tool for the job, but always available!

Either way the wires broke in a spot that I *could* repair, but just don't wanna

I had the radioshack model and I kept it until it broke. Loved it!
