Thank you for this video, David. Publisher looks very good and easy to use. I'm a recent migrator from PC to Mac and I have to say your videos have been invaluable. Thanks again.
Excellent tutorial. I have bought the software - which is great - but don't need to use it frequently, so every so often come back here for a refresher.
David, thank you for this video. It is quite helpful for somebody who migrated to Mac a couple of years ago and learning Publisher Plus for Mac. I'm more comfortable with Publisher but noted that I cannot open previous newsletters in Publisher while using Publisher Plus.
Thank you for this video! I am new to this program and had no prior experience with the Pages or Publisher. I have been messing around in the program and had a few things I wasn't able to figure out, but you covered them! I appreciate your voice and look forward to more Mac classes in the future.
Great tutorial. I am still on the fence, but on the verge of taking a leap. I am used to using MS Publisher for pretty much everything from event planning to specialty labels. I am trying to train myself now on Mac. I have sometimes found the Mac products are not as user friendly, unless I have been tamed to use PC products.
Thank you so much! You were very direct, easy to follow, and the right amount of enthusiasm. I'll definitely look further into this program because of your youtube tutorial
I enjoyed your video. I’ve been using the very old print shop and I’ve been using it on a white MacBook just so I could continue to use it but it’s becoming quite outdated so my question is, is there a way to take your photos or images and crop them in something other than rectangle or square, can you crop photos in circles or heart shapes or whatever.there was an easy function on that Ancient print shop just wondering if this has it. Thank you.
David, great tutorial. One important thing that wasn't covered is how to link text boxes so that text can "jump" to another page in a new box. I can't figure out how to do this. Help!!
Thats because as far a I can see there isn't a way to do this and there is no mention of it in the help files. This appears to be a basic desktop package and what you are asking for is in more sophisticated apps. Download Libre Office and use Writer donate if you like it: www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/?version=5.2.2
I really enjoyed the tutorial on Publisher Plus for Mac! I recently purchased this through the app store, but I was having difficulty in trying to figure out how to navigate through it. One question: which template would you suggest I use if I want to make a 20 page booklet (including front and back covers). It needs to be 5 1/2 inches x 8 1/5 inches. Please advise. Thank you.
HI there! Thank you for the tutorial. It was largely because of the tutorial that I decided to buy Publisher Plus. I just need to know and I think it wasn't discussed in the tutorial.... how do I make my text flow to the next page? I am making a newsletter and I have my articles on Pages and I copy and paste onto Publisher but I noticed it doesn't indicate when my text does not fit the text box and it doesn't ask me how to continue the text somewhere else....Help please. Thanks!
I currently have the lite version but after using it a few times. I'm definitely going to purchase the Plus version. I have a question about creating multiple pages. I have created two pages. I'm unable to find out how to view the 1st page. However, when I print, it's still there. How can I view both pages so I can edit them if needed?
Hi David, Great Video. I have been using Publisher Plus for a few months now and love it for its ease of use and it creates fantastic Newsletters. My only question is more to do with e-mailing out the Newsletter. I really would like my Newsletters to be "In-Line" and be "interactive", i.e.. links etc. so I normally create as a PDF, but of course when I e-mail out a PDF most of the time it is sent as an imbedded object, so the e-mail impact is not so great. What's the best way to have it fixed as the email body ? Any advise appreciated. Steve
Do you know what the difference is between the free lite version and the full version? I watched this to see how the draw facility worked, and you just passed it by lol!!
I am trying to make the switch from PC to Mac. The problem is that I use Microsoft Publish a lot for my classroom. One of the features I like is being able to add a table and all the features of a table. I also enjoy being able to erase the background of a picture, where it goes invisible and the text wraps around it. Now, if I have the document as a PDF, I do have a copy in Publisher plus that I can edit, right?? Thank you so much for your help!
I make greeting cards a lot but I don't want or need anybody else's "stuff". How do I get a blank template for myself. I really miss the "print preview" that is available in publisher so its a lot of guess work. Thanks.
Hi everyone, I have a calendar built in publisher; and my question is it possible to open it in Publisher Lite and keep working on it and later take it back to Publisher?
I am a school teacher. How do I enlarge the poster to 11 x 17 or larger? Also, can I take it up to say, 200% and tile it so I can print on several pages and put it together like a puzzle?
Hello David, We print our church worship service as a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 booklet (two pages on an 8-1/2 x 11 landscape page.) Publisher for a PC has options to format a document so it will print two pages per landscape sheet and layout the pages so that it will print an 8-page booklet printed two-sides (you know the first sheet front side is pages 8 & 1, the back side pages 2 & 7, etc.) I can't figure out how to format for booklet printing on Publisher Plus for Mac. Help!
I have made multiple pages for my project in Publisher plus and all my pages print with the publisher plus logo across the middle of my page. How can I remove it, Please
Swift Publisher is better because it contains 40,000 clip arts, backgrounds and images etc.; and dynamic extras like Art Text and Image Tricks. Swift Publisher is as close as you can get to the Adobe Creative Suite for just a few bucks and without the training to use such software.
A couple that he talked about were VistaPrint and Moo.com. We are not huge VistaPrint fans, but they get the job done. Moo has excellent quality, but they are not cheap.
I have just tried seven times to buy a license for this piece of software, but it just won't approve my cards or even process my paypal account. Is this no longer available??? It looks great, but I just can't even seem to get the download.
There are a few factors in speeding up Macs. One place I found that succeeds in merging these is the Mels Speed Method (google it if you're interested) definately the no.1 treatment that I've seen.look at all the incredible information .
Today is Feb 25, 2017. I downloaded Publisher Plus for $19.99 from iTunes and it will not open on my Macbook pro. I deleted the app and did a reinstall and it still would not open. I contacted David Lin with PearlMountain software and he was not helpful to resolve the issue. I called Apple Care and spoke with 2 CSRs for over an hour and they were not helpful. I am running OS Sierra. Apple Care told me they will contact iTunes to get me a full refund if I don't have any success. Can anyone be of assistance to help me with this app?
They need to fix that bug! WASTED MONEY. How can they create a program where you can't move pages!!! It's Nov 2016 and the "BUG" is still there. Other than that, your tutorial was excellent
it is shite. cant find any instruction. all I want to do is make a curved logo. Microsoft Publisher is so easy you don't even have to look up tutorials.

This app doesn't have the function to insert table, does it? Can't believe so much work going into it and that simple function is not even there.

Hi - does this software have bleed settings? Also, when designing a A4 folded leaflet, how do you know where the margins of each page are?
Would this app be OK for journaling?

I noticed that this software doesn't have very good reviews for $20.00 I think I will keep looking.
I used the trial version and seemed good but after purchasing, it's not even opening on the Mac. This is waste of money.
Why do i have trouble with clicking on the text that is on my file already to edit it? Can't edit the text.....
