I love that AJ’s voice is drowned out and further back as if she’s a ghost, while Josh’s voice is pure and forward because he’s still in the living.

Especially when the main character collapses on the beach at the beginning/end and the line Aj sings “a mothers face alone” just reminds me of how the main character was reflecting on herself as a mother with her children and the conflicting feelings of wanting to find herself.
