    Suggestion for the spreadsheet on your fish weights: you need to list them all vertical each time you catch instead of horizontally. Love the vids, just a small suggestion: A few years ago, when I lived in Ontario, I visted a pond similar to yours. As a proteine source for their bass, they vermicomposted their kitchen scraps. They used their compost for their trees and tomatos, but also used their worms to feed the fish from time to time. They mentioned that the worms reproduce really quickly and thrive in kitchen scraps. Maybe you could use it as an additional source of food for your bass too?
    Love your vids, nice and relaxing to watch.

    I'm not a fisherman but wow, this is one of the coolest projects I have ever seen come to life. So the rain should be able to sustain the level of the pond? I am curious to see what types of wildlife shows up. Looks like the birds are already finding it but I wonder if any migrating birds will being to stop there over the next few years. I will continue to watch your series. very impressed. God bless you sir.

    I love this channel! I really like the wildlife it has brought too! Its too bad he cant put some native plants in though. Maybe when Greg the pond guy gets there he can have some suggestions. Because he is obsessed with ponds LOL. In fact he's building ponds at two other channels I follow.
    I love the night shots keep up the good work :)

    Awsome video as always! I was inspired by you to get a bass so I caught a little LM bass and named him Moe, he lived in my 120 gal tank for 6 months before I released him into a friends pond. So, it would be awsome if you could name one of the bass after Moe for me! Thank you for uploading every week, I don't know how yall do it but I love watching your videos! Keep it up! :)

    Great episode as always. To help with the water temp in the indoor tanks, you could pick up a couple of 6-inch fans to blow over your led lights it definitely helps me in my application.

    Folks at home, Welcome back to the crimson oak pond! and if youre new to this series we built this 5 acre pond over the past year. And it took us several months to get all of the dirt excavated, and we had to bring in several truckloads of clay. and we also built an island, a dock and got all of the structure in place. and then it took a couple of months to get it full of water. after that we stocked it with a bunch of baitfish. including bluegills and threadfin shad. and not long after that we stocked with these little 2 inch aggressive bass. and were gonna be giving you an update on them here in just a minute and showing you just how big theyve gotten.

    Data analyst here (actuary to be exact) - I recommend that each time you catch a repeat fish, you give it its own row in excel. It will be much easier to analyze after you have caught repeated fish. One of the biggest benefits is that you'd have a consistent amount of columns for each entry.

    • @mastermitchell123
      @mastermitchell123 Год назад

      You could even ignore the first two columns when typing in new entries. Then use a VLOOKUP function to a map of Pit tag to Fish Name/Owner

    Just started watching your videos 2 days ago and have now binge watched the whole pond series. Awesome job. What if you bring the floating duck house closer to where your ducks hang out, start feeding them progressively closer to it. Maybe kill the green lights and all things that move and or make noise that could spook them at first. I don't think they want to be lit up at night.
