Survive the disaster has been around a long time, true, but in around 2012-2014 there was an earlier game where you were on a map similar to the famous 'crossings', and you had disasters like poorly textured lava rising, and blocky jason the killers show up and knife you to death. I used to play Roblox when I was pretty little back in 2013. Good times. I only played it for a year but never forgot about Roblox. I lost my password, that's why I only played it for a year. That and Mom's laptop was having hard drive errors, the only PC we had was a Windows 95 desktop. Somehow.

Live-Ops means to have a live game and to perform operations on it frequently (to update it). Every game on the front page does Live-Ops, it's why they stay on the front page, and why Loomian Legacy continued to fall down the rankings. It's a good game, but there was nothing else to do. Roblox is removing seasonal events because their new vision for Roblox is to have every single thing on the website to have been created by the community, so they are discontinuing creating new items on the Catalog soon, and letting the users create their own hats, accessories, etc. It sucks, but I think it's a good step forward for Roblox.
I joined in 2012 but played in 2011 i remember my parents not letting me play roblox until then. I had to convince them to let my play by telling them it was educational and helps in "architecture" even though i didnt know what architecture even meant. The games i remember were sword fight on the heights, build to survive the zombies, doomspire brick battle, when the balls come, base wars, call of robloxia, paintball!, build a hideout and fight, sword fighting tournament, apoc rising, super fun obby, and town of robloxia. I remember getting robux and getting the tweet tweet, I thought it was so cool.

After a while, the arrival of the newer generation was inevitable. It would only be a matter of time before they found it out via RUclips etc. I’m a player from late 2010/early ‘11 and I agree, the memories continue to flood.
I feel like people don't truly understand why Simulator games are so successful now. It's actually a direct response to ROBLOX's changing system. Back then, a wealthy developer was fueled by the visits their game would get, so most games were clickbait garbage because the whole purpose was just to make players join it. It didn't matter if they stuck around and spent their ROBUX. Since ROBLOX now reward people actually spending their currency on the game instead of just joining it, Simulator games provide a system which encourages players to spend their money as a means of making progress faster in a game where progress is literally all there is to be cared for. Probably nobody cares, but just an interesting observation on the technicalities of how ROBLOX changes.
@CrispTheMistake it's dumb that simulators are so popular because they make up 80% of the popular content in Roblox aside from phantom forces, which seems to be the only 'good' shooter on roblox now and days

Survive the disaster has been around a long time, true, but in around 2012-2014 there was an earlier game where you were on a map similar to the famous 'crossings', and you had disasters like poorly textured lava rising, and blocky jason the killers show up and knife you to death. Survive the disaster is a kind of a later version of those types of games.

Live-Ops means to have a live game and to perform operations on it frequently (to update it). Every game on the front page does Live-Ops, it's why they stay on the front page, and why Loomian Legacy continued to fall down the rankings. It's a good game, but there was nothing else to do. Roblox is removing seasonal events because their new vision for Roblox is to have every single thing on the website to have been created by the community, so they are discontinuing creating new items on the Catalog soon, and letting the users create their own hats, accessories, etc. It sucks, but I think it's a good step forward for Roblox.

I joined in 2012 but played in 2011 i remember my parents not letting me play roblox until then. I had to convince them to let my play by telling them it was educational and helps in "architecture" even though i didnt know what architecture even meant. The games i remember were sword fight on the heights, build to survive the zombies, doomspire brick battle, when the balls come, base wars, call of robloxia, paintball!, build a hideout and fight, sword fighting tournament, apoc rising, super fun obby, and town of robloxia. I remember getting robux and getting the tweet tweet, I thought it was so cool.

I feel like people don't truly understand why Simulator games are so successful now. It's actually a direct response to ROBLOX's changing system. Back then, a wealthy developer was fueled by the visits their game would get, so most games were clickbait garbage because the whole purpose was just to make players join it. It didn't matter if they stuck around and spent their ROBUX.
Since ROBLOX now reward people actually spending their currency on the game instead of just joining it, Simulator games provide a system which encourages players to spend their money as a means of making progress faster in a game where progress is literally all there is to be cared for.
Probably nobody cares, but just an interesting observation on the technicalities of how ROBLOX changes.

@CrispTheMistake it's dumb that simulators are so popular because they make up 80% of the popular content in Roblox aside from phantom forces, which seems to be the only 'good' shooter on roblox now and days
