Everything about this week was routine except the end of it! I was off on Friday which never happens and the T800 went "POOF" up on flames on the side of I-95!
Watching those loaders when loading a truck...its been years since i sat in a truck getting loaded ...but you vmcqn almoast feel the load going on just watching ..you can feel the sat beneeth you and the truck as it shakes a bit .. brings plenty of memories
My condolences to the AC family on your loss, shout out to the Brothers and Sisters of Waltham Fire for what they were able to do on making a stop before it got any further.👍🙏🇺🇸🚛🚒
I’ll never forget the morning we got the call one of our shops was fully engulfed in flames. Two trucks were inside along with some miscellaneous equipment. Definitely a gut wrenching experience
Your an example of a truly dedicated and responsible employee. Its not your equipment but you treat it as if it was and together a reputation develops and respect is earned. Probably a foolish question but have you seen the million mile mark
Yeah it’s sad when you lose a truck we just lost one to a fire last week. We don’t know what happened to it but it just caught fire and are thankful no one got hurt. The worst part is the truck was almost as clean as the t-800 and the C-15 had just gotten rebuilt. It’ll definitely make you sick.
An oil line near the turbo failing could be the cause of such a fire. Turbo's get really hot and when a faulty oil line sprays oil under pressure towards the turbo, you almost have the ideal oil/air mix that's easy to ignite.
😢 I feel for you two deeply truck fires are just 🤢🤮 hope all goes back to well & normal. Oh wait this is trucking nothing is never normal. But it makes us go back and try it again even harder 🎉
sending thoughts and prayers 2 the cardillo family and those involved in the fire.thankfully no one was hurt.remember folks trucks r replaceable people arnt.
I know she looks rough right now, but I think she could be the perfect candidate to retire with a glider kit. Won't be the "same" but can still honor the legacy of what she once was. I always look for blessings in disguise.
Honestly, you could probably save the motor out of that. Have it checked for heat cracks etc and rebuild it completely. That core alone is like 10-15k I believe at a CAT store.
So so glad everyone was safe. It’s funny how you connect with things you don’t know and people you never met. That truck is like a fixture on this channel. It’s been there ever since I can remember. I’ve been following you since the beginning and if I remember correctly you showed off that truck in a video you did way back when.
Im sure that i loaded that trailer plenty of times at Newport Materials some years back with that truck. One of the better looking trucks that came into the yard.
Equipment can be replaced. Human lives cannot! Glad to see no one got hurt. Could the frame in the front be checked, then get a new cab/hood/powertrain? I loved the videos you made of that little truck.
Oh man that sucks but as you say at least everyone is ok, maybe something can be salvaged and hung somewhere in the shop or office along with some pictures.
Mike if you haven't tried Chem-X's Stars and Stripes with a foamer/pressure washer yet I think you'd really like it. We're in the mud and dusty pits like you and when I use that the trucks come out looking hand washed. Don't know how it does it!
unfortunate for the T800... 😧 old guy at the quarry here told me once there are two types of end dumps, Mike. ones that have tipped over, and ones that will.... LOL be careful my friend!
Love ❤️ the way you keep your truck clean, she's a beauty! And you're right, it doesn't take long and it really is part of the job. Sorry for the loss of the 800 man. The most important thing is no-one was hurt. But......truck is still part of the family, even though it's just a chunk of steel. And in reality, it's not impossible to re-build this truck. Stay safe my friend!😊
It’s a shame we couldn’t get together on Monday, I was really looking forward to it. Maybe we can reschedule for June and try again. Sorry to hear about the T 800 was a great truck. Sad to see it go out like that.
We flew in on that Thursday and yes, the weather was terrible, the traffic was awful trying to leave the airport. We took a trip to Beacon Hill to go to the bar that inspired the cheers TV show. I made a wrong turn so it ended up being a three hour trip to go do something for 10 minutes.
Alternator wires? No one got hurt? Not the videos I like but it a reality.maybe the 900 will stay in the fleet . (900 sent out a omen). Good work Mike! And crew.
If that truck had jump posts on the frame behind that steer tire that is most likely where it started. The company I worked for lost 2 trucks that way.
Your company should cut off the rear end since it wasn't damaged and attach it to the old autocar. That would definitely make a great show truck. Be safe.
You'd think with that many years experience you should know by now that you can't be on top of your trailer in places like that. Doesn't matter who the captain is. You of all RUclips truckers should know that one Mike
That's just so heartbreaking, sorry to you guys loosing the T800. Like you said Mike,it's a good thing the driver got it off the HWY , stopped & driver is ok & no one got hurt. That just sucks.
Sorry about the 800 Mike as long as no one was hurt it can be replaced that’s why I’m not a new truck fan to much crap to go haywire in them I live in NJ and I’ve seen a few new rigs burning alongside Route 80 . I’ll take a old truck any day
Sucks but it could be put back together with enough parts. Shame to lose a good truck. Driver out safe is what matters, trucks are sadly replaceable, people are not.
What the heck is going on with all the truck fires and tractors burning up anymore??!! Wasn't too long ago you hardly ever heard of or saw a tractor burned up. What in the world!!
Love the T800. Sad to see it in that state. But life must go on. At least it wasn’t one of those electric trucks. Or it would still be on fire. No joke.
Awww man poor t800, they say "least nobody got hurt, trucks can be replaced" while that's true, memories can't be replaced, great sounding truck Try the chem-x tire shine next time
Before Common Rail fuel systems you hardly saw any truck fires. Nowadays any kind of highway truck wreck or fuel system breakdown results in a fire. Plus the T-800's seem to be susceptible to electrical fires. I drove for one fleet with 45 T-800's parked at 4 yard locations, and during the 4 years I worked there 3 of the T-800's burned down just parked overnight
Hey Mike,, I have worn a hole in the carpet underneath my computer desk floor from jamming the brakes on to bam the tail gate after dumping out each time and also find myself giving the highball wave to the other trucks leaving the pit,? 😅 I'm 74 and getting senile for sure,,Lol !
ChemX tire and trim. I highly recommend it. My truck sat for about a year in the shop or outside while it got repaired(was totaled before got in it) and all sorts of crud got stuck to the rubber. Everything else I tried just soaked in and they looked like garbage. This stuff lasts about a week and a half at least 3 washes) before I need to apply again it’s less and less product every time.

Drove buy as it was going up sad happy too see driver was safe.

Very nice of you to say thank you. 943,000
He’s waaaaayyyy past the Mil.
WOW your correct that’s depressing seeing it burnt up. Glad Tommy’s ok trucks can be replaced.
Sad day when you lose a truck! That one was a good one. Nice work by Waltham Fire on the stop.
What a damn shame! Glad the driver wasnt hurt though. Take care Mike. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.

It's never a good feeling.

@tjroelsma It could have been it was labeled as mechanical fire/cause unknown
😢 I feel for you two deeply truck fires are just 🤢🤮 hope all goes back to well & normal. Oh wait this is trucking nothing is never normal. But it makes us go back and try it again even harder 🎉
Man I used to love when you would drive that truck and listening to that CAT! Was one of my favorites, hate to see it go.
It's a bummer!
Going to miss the sound of that whistle of the t800
Wow! Good thing that wasn't in the shop with the other trucks. Thanks for the video Mike.
You got that right!
I will always be your friend & R.I.P. T800...Love Ya Man
Sorry about the loss of such a nice truck , at least no one was hurt ! 😢🍺
I feel you, we lost a truck this past summer on RT 3, best truck i've beared witness to, it got almost 8 MPG
sending thoughts and prayers 2 the cardillo family and those involved in the fire.thankfully no one was hurt.remember folks trucks r replaceable people arnt.
Thank you ❤️
Holy shit. Glad everyone’s okay. You guys take care of the equipment. I’m surprised and saddened that happened.
What a shame.

Sad for the T800! I'm glad nobody was hurt!!
Hi Mike glad nobody got hurt as long as the motor checks out Good it will be a great project stay safe pal
Daaaaamn bro i know that sucks a**, but like you said as long as no one got hurt the t-800 can be replaced 🤦
Honestly, you could probably save the motor out of that. Have it checked for heat cracks etc and rebuild it completely. That core alone is like 10-15k I believe at a CAT store.
Mike you will hate the sound of the new truck, because it'll be to quite at first but then you'll love it
Bummer for sure but it'll be nice to have something new until it starts messing up.
Love the ride bro

Nice tribute ending!
Yes! Thank you!

Couldn't think of a better cameraman (trucking industry representative) to tour the kenworth facility!

Nice tribute to the T8O0!!
I could see the Cardillo boys rebuilding the T800. Rising out of the ashes so to speak.

What do we do with the daylight we save ? I still have some left over from last year and I’m running out of room.😂⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You've obviously never sent a piece of asphalt into the cab with you when the glass is up lol. That'll change your mind real quick haha.

You can make it better than what it was. Better, stronger, faster! The 6 million dollar Kenworth.
Mike you are definitely a wheel man backed that dump trailer right in there

When you keep up on cleaning it goes quick ! When you only wash once a month it will take you 2 - 3 - 4 hours to get it clean
Mike thank god nobody got hurt much more success to you'your company
Mike- You're starting to get the hang of backin up. JM
Few more years and should almost be good at it. 🤦😉

Thanks for the show Mike 🍻 🇦🇺

UP or Ovah.... It all comes out. That's what Bob Wood always told us !
Its always the trucks with cats that go up. We lost 2 peterbilt/cats same way. Sad to see.

I'm well known but not many real friends.
Sorry that your truck caught on fire. But glad it wasn't a Peter built.
Tim Gentry from Gentry & Sons could take that 6NZ Cat engine and throw it in a other truck and have it running by by Saturday afternoon
I'm sure he could!💯
New Kenworth Dealership or Shop going up in Middleton. It’s probably done already.
That's terrific I didn't know that.
Hi, such a bugger to lose such a sentimental truck, Maybe a restoration project?
We'll see.
I lost a 3 week-old Pete 379 on the Grape Vine. 1986 I know the pain. 3 fire bottles didnt help none.
I used to deliver to Siegel Egg 🥚 in BillERica but I didn’t deliver Loam😅
New cab new wiring. Fix it fix it fix it ! Gotta carry like 4 fire extinguishers

Darn shame! A nice truck, not as clean as yours (before the crash). I hope it was insured!
Good news is that truck can be rebuilt.
I don't care what anyone says, trucks have a soul 😢❤
Yes absolutely 💯
That’s why we wear boots not sneakers…….you might call them flip flops where your from
You tuber called bonehead truckers calls them the flip flop army, he sells no flip flop stickers for loading dock doors.
When's your new truck going to be done for you Great video once again by you keep them coming
I’m not cryin 😢you’re crying 😢
I would definitely like to see @thebostontrucker come haul coal with us down in Southern WV sometime in the future.
That would be cool! I'd love to sometime.
You won’t be happy with the new truck, you will not be able to hear it running much less the Jake’s rapping!!

Where is that Shaws near your fuel stop?
Across the street.
