Joel you are very kind and lucky man. Thank you so much for the video, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Being a Tibetan myself and not allowed to visit Tibet, your video gives an excellent perspective of deaf people's life in Lhasa.
what you went is not a supermarket. it is market to sell locally produced food from local farmers. it is true those kinds of markets are less regulated, but food tend to be fresher and cheaper. of course less regulated means you might take a risk but for people living there, they would spot the obvious issues immediately.
btw, all of disabled persons in china have monthly allowance. this allowance would not be affected by whether he or she has job or not. it is also true, disabled people get paid less than those regular people who are doing the same types of jobs. yeah, not fair but it is reality for now. hopefully, this unfortunate reality could be changed gradually in the future.
