At the same time, your govt has ramped immigration to record levels in the middle of a housing crisis, but only a tiny fraction are skilled, most being students or unskilled third world people. Who will pay the taxes that pay for the welfare benefits that support the locals as well as the imported people? As inflation soars and even full time workers are thrown into poverty, businesses will keep folding as people are only consuming a fraction of what they once did. Finally, the large corporations will either fold themselves or move offshore, seeking more profitable markets. So it looks like your society will look something like a mixture of the movies Blade Runner (without the floating cars) and Soylent Green. I always liked Canadians, so it's a shame, but nothing lasts forever, especially when human greed and corruption are behind the driving wheel.
I also planning to leave in some years. House and everything is getting expensive while salary has not increased proportionally. I am saving every cent so as to leave and move all my savings to an affordable country some day.

Its not really as expensive to move as long as you are flexible with work. Just make the move and itll work out in a few months.
